Brain Balance of Allen & Dallas

Brain Balance of Allen has been the best partner in our child’s development. They have helped give our daughter the greatest opportunity at a successful, healthy and happy future. After a year of wrong directions and spiraling, everything has turned around. She was struggling to control her emotions while learning to live with the changes in her body, bullying, her newly diagnosed learning difficulties, and hormones all while navigating puberty, middle school and anxiety.

Prior to Brain Balance, the only thing we could count on was her instability. We tried so many different things and were desperate to get our daughter in a healthy place. A place where rational and logical thinking wasn’t lost in the emotions. Brain Balance was the key. The key to unlocking all of it.

While pouring over options and grasping at straws for help, we kept coming back to Brain...

Our daughter has made improvements in so many aspects. She is less shy, trying new things to include food. She wears denim now. She would only wear leggings and soft materials. She is a lot more focused! Over the 4th of July holiday, she was even interviewed by a television station because we attended a parade. She was asked if she wanted to be interviewed. Without hesitation, she said, “yes”. Before Brain Balance, there is NO way she would have attempted this! She even made eye contact with the camera. 😊😊We are so proud of her hard work. We are amazed by what this program is doing for her! Definitely recommend!

Brain Balance has changed my son’s life. Before BB it would take him hours to complete his homework. After the 1st month it was no longer a struggle. He has grown so much mentally after the last 9 months. He no longer wants to sit in front of the TV and play video games. He actually asks to go outside and play. We were at a loss on how to help our daughter advance in learning, but thanks to the Brain Balance, we were to able to set her on the path to develop her cognitive skills. She was in their program for a few months and we saw significant improvement in her reasoning, speech, and social skills. Our son (diagnosed ADHD) struggled from the time he was young and into adolescence socially and academically. While we thought he would eventually grow out of the impulsivity, the awkwardness, the ticks, the never listens until we yell, the lack of acknowledging social cues, it just seemed the gap between him and his peers was expanding as more time passed. When we found Brain Balance it was beyond a relief - it was our first hope that we could help our son learn to self-manage and be successful, and accepted. They use tested and tried science (you can find the Harvard and Cambridge studies on their website) to determine exactly what your child is struggling with, and set you as a family up on a path to grow and make accomplishments together. For example, when our then 8-year-old began the program he was functioning on par with that of a 4-5 year old (no wonder we were so frustrated!...

We cannot speak highly enough about all that our family gained from the Brain Balance program. We received stellar support from each staff member and so much parental encouragement. We are forever grateful for our experience at the Allen Center!

Brain Balance changed the way we view so many facets of life. Our two oldest children had incredible experiences and graduated after a year of virtual therapy. I’m so thankful that a dear friend shared the treasure of Brain Balance with our family. It’s worth every single penny!

Our daughter had been labeled, ADD. We met with school counselors and school psychologist, but I didn't understand how someone with A's and the occasional B could all of a sudden have problems completing daily assignments. We were told she was at "that" age and it is hormonal. We were buying that! We waited entirely too long to find Brain Balance. It turns out she has a weak side of the brain. She was ambidextrous, we thought that was a plus, until we learned that her brain was literally fighting as to which side was going to make decisions and it was taking a few seconds to process. We went for the minimum group of classes; and currently continuing the exercises at home. We are on the road to recovery, and it is great to see her improvement!

Stumbled upon this place on Facebook and registered for one of their webinars on ADHD. Sydney was the presenter and she was great! She answered a lot of questions and was very professional. Will definitely recommend to a friend!

We have engaged with Brain Balance center in Allen as a business partner. They are a terrific team of dedicated professionals. We were especially impressed with Sidney and her understanding of the value it could provide children.

My daughter was struggling a lot with focus/attention and her grades in school had dropped. I've enrolled her in Brain Balance Allen in November from last year. She had great improvements since them. Her grades improved, her focus got much better, she was less anxious. What can I say? Is the program expensive? Yes, but you can finance it. Does it give results: Yes, it is much better than taking your daughter to a physician and give her medicine. I am against it! Caroline and all the staff are amazing. They are so nice and caring. My daughter loved it. Please, if your kid is also struggling, invest on them, go to Brain Balance!

Our son just finished the program. We are so excited with all the successes’ he has made along the way and love seeing the continued progress outside of the program! Can’t wait to see what additional progress we will see in the upcoming year. Thank you Brain Balance team!!!

Amazing people. Incredibly kind and helpful

Brain Balance was a life changer for our son! Before program he couldn't finish a sentence before another thought interrupted it; he had trouble reading and with handwriting. The time and effort we spent with Brain Balance helped him achieve a 95th percentile on STAAR tests but more importantly we now have a son who can manage life and all it's challenges medication-free. There are no limits for him!

They are an amazing group of professionals that have been there not only for my child but for my whole family. They have been the answer to my prayers for years!!!

This is going to be a long one, so bear me :)

My husband and I enrolled our then 8 year old in the Brain Balance program after we started seeing a few behaviors that no longer were consistent with his joyful & sweet personality. At school, while he was still making A's, his teachers were concerned bc he was distracted most of the time and eventually they saw a defensive attitude in him.
We saw that same defensiveness at home, and then came episodes of anger/frustration. He wasn't ADHD or ADD and so after trying child counseling, we took him to a the Allen Brain Balance facility for an assessment. At this point we were desperate to understand what was happening to our usually sweet & loving boy.

After the first 2 months, I was strongly convinced that BB was a mistake and would not work. He had stronger episodes of anger and frustration and...

My son was diagnosed with Highfunctioning autism. They said his left brain was age 18 and right brain was age 7. When we heard about brain balance we thought this would be the perfect fit to get both sides worked no together. Our goals were for social interaction and the ability to verbalized his feelings. He would have friends over but after an hour he wanted them to go. He would also hold things in and then have an emotional out burst or run to his room and slam the door. We noticed signs fairly soon after treatment. It was taxing to come 3 times a week and we had to be creative in making it fit financially but worth every minute and every dollar. Our first sign was hugging. He hated hugs. He would hug me but dig his chin in my shoulder. The counselor said he knows you like hugs but his brain signals hugs are painful so he hurts you at the same time wanting to please you....
