Brain Balance of Allen & Dallas

Brain Balance has become a game changer for us. Our 5 year old with ASD and being non-verbal we had reservations at first but the staff at brain balance (shout out to Emily and Sydney) provided us with a ton of info, support and online resources to give our son a smooth transition. It’s only been 2 months and we have seen significant progress on regulation, increased attention span and social engagement. Can’t wait to see how the program continues to progress and the results at the end!

Brain Balance was a crucial part of the success my son has achieved in middle school! His anxiety is way down and his ability to use appropriate coping skills is way up! We are proud to be a part of the Brain Balance family and excited for the progress we continue to see!!

Brain balance has been a huge win for us as a family thus far. We have tried a lot with our 10 year old daughter - from speech therapy, various tutoring, OT etc. She has 3 sisters, two older and one younger so we could definitely see the differences as she continued to struggle with normal functions and at school.

She was diagnosed ADHD but we're not fans of medication so we tried and tried to find a better solution. At this point she's completed 35 sessions and we are consistent with her "at home" sessions as well. We have seen massive improvements over a 2.5 month period of time. The biggest one for me is fight or flight mentality. 100% of the time she landed in flight - not attempting new things therefore not growing and learning. Now she is taking on challenges she previously would have retreated from immediately.

Brain Balance has been a significant part of our lives for the past year and a half. We've seen great improvements in our autistic child's behavior and social interactions. Emily, Kaitlyn, and the rest of the therapists have been wonderful on this ongoing journey.

Brain Balance of Allen is playing a crucial role in our lives at this point of time!! My son had been struggling with severe anger issues though academically he is a gifted child. His emotional quotient was low enough to make life miserable for the entire family. After trying some psychologists and psychiatrists and a number of medicines with no luck, we were told about Brain Balance.
Obviously it’s pricey but every single penny is worth it. The science behind the treatment is promising and holds the ground. But more importantly it is the staff there which is not only professional but also honest and patient with the clients. Corey , Emily and Kaitlyn are a few I have personal experience with. Emily is in charge of my child. She is amazing! So accurate in understanding and resourceful with ideas on how to deal with the given situation. I love her!!!
Key to the success here...

My 13 year old daughter has had extreme difficulty in school since kindergarten. She was very easily distracted and overwhelmed to the point where she just refused to do any school work or take care of her responsibilities at home. It was very frustrating for her teachers and even more so for me. I would get constant complaints from her teachers about her just sitting there not doing her work and she would cry almost every day during homework time. We learned that she had ADD, dyslexia, and had extreme issues with her eyes which caused headaches and fatigue and made it very difficult for her to read or process information. We had to tell her multiple times to do one simple task. First we took her to a vision therapist for two years where we saw very little improvements. We were on the verge of putting her on meds when our naturopath told us about Brain Balance. It took almost 2 years...

My son has been going to the Brain Balance of Allen for about a year now (he is on ASD with high ADHD). We have been with brain balance for almost a year. I’m so thankful for the Coaches and staff. They’re incredibly patient and kind with our daughter. It’s exactly what we needed when we felt like there were no other options. Our daughter struggled with behavioral issues especially in school. Overall, we have noticed significant improvement this past year. Not only that but as parents, we have been equipped with a handful of tools to help us help our daughter continue to improve. Brain Balance of Allen has been very helpful with my teenage son. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. While I knew going into it that this program will not be able to resolve all of my son’s issues, it has definitely had many positive effects on his attitude, mindset and overall wellbeing.

Brain Balance has been an answer to my prayers. When I first got my son tested, I was really not sure if this was just a business trying to make money or the real deal but as most parents do, I did what I felt like I had to do for my son and I enrolled him. This program has helped him tremendously, and I am looking forward to seeing what phase 2 does for him! One thing that I really appreciate is that they are so friendly and it is such a good environment that not once… Not once has my 13 year old son complained about going there! It’s always a positive experience! My only complaint is… I wish it was closer to where I live :)

The program tailor made for our daughter was going to be a significant financial, time, and emotional commitment. And at first my husband and I were skeptical that the Brain Balance program would provide the keys our daughter needed to unlock her maximum potential. The approach made sense from a neurological perspective. But would it equate to improved performance at school? Would we continue with the nightly battles to finish ONE worksheet? Would we continue to see our daughter look defeated at such a young age? With all those questions in mind, nothing else mattered. Our daughter was worthy of us to try!

She completed the first phase of her program right before the start of her 6th grade year. And she took off with guns-a-blazing and finished that year just as strong (A’s and one high B – in math). Week over week we saw her confidence return. We saw her joy...

Brain Balance has been good for our son. He was having trouble reading, regulating his emotions and really learning in general. The assessments administered at brain balance really opened our eyes as to what he was experiencing when he tried reading. And we liked that they incorporated nutrition as well. Our director Kaitlyn provides so much good information and activities that can help when our son is struggling in a certain area. We know that she truly cares about the success of our son. We’ve been going since September and now our son, Carson is getting better at regulating his emotions, calming down in situations and his teachers are excited about his reading improvements. So we are very thankful for Brain Balance!

We started Brain Balance for our oldest son about four months ago. A year ago he received a diagnosis for ADHD-inattentive, and almost immediately afterwards we were asked which medication we would prefer to start our 9-year-old on. We were shocked! So we started researching alternative programs hoping to find a way to help him without directly going into medicating.
When we finally found Brain Balance, we were blown away. The initial assessment and parent meeting seemed to answer all our concerns which no one took the time to answer. The amount of times we went to drs and were told to medicate was unbelievable. We don’t think medicating is bad, but we wanted to know what else was out there. Brain Balance is definitely a different approach than anyone around us has tried.

I don’t write reviews at all but I had to because of the epic experience I had with Emily. She was a huge help with this Brain Balance journey. She always gave helpful tips for school and life. Without her my Brain Balance experience would be different.

I am so grateful I came across Brain Balance for our son. It's been transformative in a time preparing him for kindergarten, and we have been overjoyed watching him thrive in school now when we didn’t know if he could. It’s given relief to us as parents finding support for ourselves and ways to help him to make our daily life more enjoyable and fruitful.

I am so grateful I came across Brain Balance when I did. It's been transformative in supporting my son. Over the past year and a half, we've seen him grow in ways we didn't know we could. His confidence and independence has significantly improved, he's started trying new foods, his anxiety has decreased a lot, and is overall much more comfortable in his own body. Brain Balance is the game changer for our daughter. Diagnosed with ADHD, she had so much trouble focusing in class, struggled to read, spell and understand what she was reading. Writing was also an issue. She was all over the page.

Brain Balanced changed that 100%. She was able to tell us that she could not concentrate in class prior to Brain Balance. Within weeks of starting the Program, she was memorizing her spelling words quickly and getting 90-100% on her spelling tests. Her reading and writing improved, ADHD symptoms reduced significantly. I wish we had found Brain Balance earlier.
