Brain Balance Center of Chesterfield

I found Brain Balance while looking for help with my teenage son. His behavior was changing, and it was more than hormones. We went for an initial consultation, and within 30 minutes of having my son do some tasks, the staff created a summary that described some characteristics of Left brain dominance, and the resulting behaviors. It was on target. I was so relieved that there were solutions, and options. We signed up for their program. We learned so much about the difference between Right brain and Left brain activities, and how important balance is. My son was not 100% on board, but he did agree to participate. Weekly sessions and daily homework, limiting Left brain activities, slowly increasing Right brain activities, really made a huge difference. So grateful to have found Brain Balance.

Brain Balance was life changing for my child and really for our whole family as we learned about how our bodies are wired and the various techniques to improve ADHD and meltdowns. We are very thankful to the staff and team there for their patience and accommodating hearts as we worked thru the program. Highly recommend!

I appreciated my experience as the team was welcoming. After the initial evaluation I ended up doing 6months of brain balance and found at the end that I was able to track visually better, be in loud/ crowded rooms and be able to hear conversations better in addition to seeing a consistent improvement in my test scores as I was in medical school at the time. Highly recommend to anyone who is interested especially those who are adults when they start like me.

Brain Balance really helped my son with ADD symptoms a lot! It was the hardest thing we’ve ever done but once you understand the process, it is very much worth the effort. The staff was always so great to work with too!

Brain Balance is a great program that I went through when I was a bit younger and I believe it helped my ADHD be less severe. I don’t have to take as much medication these days and made it a lot more manageable for me to treat and take care of.

We 100% saw improvement in our son's sustained attention and his school performance. We chose the virtual program because of our distance to the center. Honestly, it was a lot for us to commit to timewise, but we stuck it through with consistency. We are happy with our results, but want to make sure people understand time commitments. You have to follow through and there are not breaks for holidays, etc.

Our family has seen truly life-changing growth through Brain Balance. In just six months, our son grew nearly four years developmentally. He went from making very little academic progress in second grade to maintaining high academic growth and achieving mastery across all content areas this year. Beyond academics, we’ve seen remarkable growth in his maturity, focus, and self-regulation. He now takes responsibility for himself and shows initiative in his social and behavioral development, something we once struggled to imagine.

Brain Balance has been life changing for my 9 year old! After 6 months in the program, he is a totally different kid. No more hour long tantrums, no more anger issues, and he is doing better in school. They also told us in the initial assessment that the program could help him with sports, which I did not believe. But it is true! He went from being slow, sometimes clumsy and never making any big plays to scoring touchdowns almost every game in football. All the staff at Chesterfield is so kind and caring. Any time I had questions or had struggles at home with my son...they always took time to listen to me and give me advice. They truly do care about every kid and want them to succeed! Be prepared that this program takes a lot of commitment - 3 times per week at the facility and exercises at home. But it is completely worth it!

Brain Balance has been life changing for not only our 11 year old, but also for our family. Our son is ADHD and has been his entire life. We’ve tried behavioral therapy, I’ve read plenty of books, different parenting styles, and nothing ever worked. Brain Balance gave our son the ability to strengthen the part of his brain that was weak, and his behavior is just the beginning. He is significantly more confident, his self-talk and self image is night and day, and he now has the tools not only to succeed in 6th grade, but in life as an adult. First of all the staff at this location are absolutely amazing, they are very kind and accommodating and I witnessed them handle some very difficult situations with ease and professionalism. The program helped my daughter with ADHD overcome many difficult challenges, and still maintain her friendly and happy personality. The challenge that made her the most upset is that she could not read before starting the program, she would try so hard and wanted to sit and read, but she would cry in frustration after a couple of minutes and we couldn’t understand because she knew all the words. Once we had the initial assessment we discovered that she couldn’t follow or focus on the sentences . After the first few months of hard work in the center and at home she was able to enjoy reading for hours and it is now her favorite thing to do. When my 15 year old started, I was not sure what help he needed. He is gifted and presents signs of autism, adhd, anxiety and depression. His executive functioning was very low. If he had to write papers or anything similar for school, he would be basically frozen and unable to start. On the other hand, he skipped grades in math and was in honors.

I found Brain Balance and felt like they were looking at the root cause of the issues instead of the symptoms, so we went all in. After 9 months, I’ve seen major improvements . Even better, he feels more confident and capable. He is willing to step out of his comfort zone a bit more. He is able to manage emotions. His school struggles have improved, etc.

I wish this was more affordable or covered by insurance. Therapy and medicine can coexist with this program, which is such a comfort if your child needs that...

LIFE CHANGING!!!! I cannot begin to explain the difference Brain Balance has made in our daughter's, our family, and really our entire community's lives. Mental illness affects many individuals in this world but unfortunately is not always supported by society. If you have not been personally affected by mental illness, understanding the impact it has on an individual and the ones around them is impossible. The shame, the guilt, and all he emotions that come along with a mental illness stigma is earth shattering and can destroy a family.
