We were excited about buying a Blackrock home in the Stapleton community to be closer to our family. (Getting older, we really wanted to be closer to our daughter and grandbabies) We had so many issues in the first year we have owned our home. The home is poorly built. Especially being built from the ground up. We developed a crack in the pitch of the ceiling only 7 months after moving in. I asked Las, Blackrock’s representative “what if this happens again” to which he replied “when we fix it, it won’t happen again”. But 8 months later, the same problem occurred. Because it’s past the one year warranty timeframe, they will not come back to fix it. In our backyard we had an issue. Blackrock started to fix the problem but didn’t finish because the problem spanned over a year. So both issues, were not fixed. We started the claim process because we were in our first year of home warranty but because these items were not fixed completely they stopped working on them after that year was up. They wanted to force us out of the community, simply because we wanted our voice and our concerns to be heard. They offered to buy back the house but it wasn’t a good idea at the time. We hoped things would get better. Because of Blackrock’s substandard workmanship we find ourselves, once again, in a stressful situation. Offer us that option again, we will gladly take it and leave the community.
