I did my DIY epoxy coating before. This one is definitely better than epoxy. It's Penntek Polyurea floor and it is significantly better from my experience.

When I did my DIY epoxy job it took me 3 days to clean the garage floor, and one day to apply. The end result looked good, but the finished DIY product was slippery. The flakes they provide with DIY kits are simply decorative.

Bay Tek’s full chip system is better as they make the surface slip-resistant with an amazing looking finish.

Our garage floor from 1949 was in fairly rough shape, with cracks, pitting, flaking, etc. I had a garage mat down for years that finally wore out, so I gave Bay Tek a call to see what they could do. From start to finish they were top notch, helping me move certain items, giving great advice and going the extra mile to make everything right. There were a few challenging items and they came out a second day to finish up and decided a few items weren't to their liking and corrected them. The results are far beyond what I expected! Everyone in the family loves it! Nice to work with someone who really takes their time and wants make sure the job is done correctly.

From the time they came out to explain my options best-suited for the project, to the day they performed the work, they went above and beyond to make sure that communication between all parties was there. Our project was a two car garage that had some tile and cemented over toilet/shower areas from a previously removed in law unit. Having seen issues with epoxy based installs, I decided to look into polyurea to get a coating that will last.

Brian came out to take a look. His sales approach was low pressure. The quote was reasonable for a quality polyurea system, which is a step up from epoxy.

Heath, Dave, and crew arrived early morning and on time. Heath was great at explaining pros/cons of ways to approach the more complex areas, such as the metal drain areas. Even with all of the tile demolition, and grinding down of nail anchors from old stud walls, the crew finished in one day. You can't tell that an in law unit had been torn out. The walls still need to be painted, but the floor coating looks amazing!

Right out of the gate Bay Tek impressed me. I was having a challenging time finding the right product for my Garage floor given some modest moisture issues experienced over the years. I knew epoxy wasn't the right choice for long term durability. Brian, the estimator/sales rep was punctual and spent some time with me walking me through their product offerings and strategizing with me to create the right sequence of flooring systems to meet my specifications both on performance and finish. We solicited several vendors for estimates for a concrete surfacing product. Bay Tek Coatings arranged to come a few days later. Brian took the time to understand our needs, quickly provided a quote for the job and their pricing was middle of the road but we believed they would stand behind their work.

We were shocked to hear that our job could be completed in one day. I was a little skeptical of the time frame, thinking it would take much longer. They showed up early, got right to work and much to my surprise, they finished it in one day just like they said. It’s refreshing to have a contractor follow through with their promises. I really appreciated the help moving my networking rack in the garage which was them going above and beyond. The process started with Brian as he took measurements and explained all about the urethane product and the available colors. Dave and Heath are outstanding craftsmen. On the day of the installation they were on time, on the day they scheduled the work and worked diligently paying attention to protection of surrounding surfaces. There were decisions to be made about things like how the perimeter would be handled, and the color of the caulking and a few other detail items and they were very careful to review these with me for the best outcome. Heath also was very personable and is clearly interested in a favorable long lasting relationship. All in all a fantastic experience.

Heath, Dave and Brian were all great to work with. This coating is by no means cheap, but once the work's done, it's clear why. A few notes:
- (Miscommunication) There was a failure to communicate a detail related to the scope of work prior to starting that Heath caught on the day of. Of course, it was awkward for a moment, but Heath took it upon himself to make the appropriate corrections and even came back a couple days later personally to make sure the job was done right. Even Brian reached out to me to apologize for the miscommunication. For what it's worth - I really appreciated this. Companies/people generally do a sh*t job of owning mistakes and to see a company through and through operating with integrity, it's easy to say that I'll be referring them to anyone who needs their garage done.

Bay Tek builders did a great job with my garage floor. The entire process was smooth and easy from getting the initial quote to the installation. Flexible with the timing, great communication, and a great product. During the installation they fixed a loose step free of charge. They also came back 2 weeks later to touch some things up.

Heath & Brian of Bay Tek Coatings are responsible, quality oriented, punctual, dependable. They helped us with color choice, sent us time lapsed video of the job.

I must admit that I was very apprehensive and even doubtful that Bay Tek Coatings would be able to help me, but my handyman suggested that I have them come take a look at my garden room to see what they recommend. Brian arrived on time for the day scheduled and after looking at the condition of the concrete floors (which were not properly installed or sealed), he still felt that their process would work. The original quote was more than I could afford and I told Bryan, but he would not give up and said he would talk to owner Heath to see what they could do.
