Arrowmont Stables & Cabins

This is the best place you can imagine! The view is breathtaking !!! This is an ideal place for those who are tired of the hustle and bustle and want to enjoy the beauty and greatness of nature in full measure !!! The house is very cozy and comfortable !!! We stayed there 2 times and will definitely return !!!

Nice place with amazing view

As an experienced rider I can say that Arrowmont Stables really knows how to accommodate all levels of riders. They even let you choose a different horse if you feel like the horse is not a good match. Their horses are well mannered and the guides are delightful. Thanks Dave, Lizzy and Stormy.

Beautiful place!

We recently stayed at Arrowmont (June 2018) and we can not say enough about this amazing mountain retreat/little slice of Heaven. We highly recommend this place for your next vaca getaway, you will not regret it. If you are looking to get out of the hussle and bussle of city life, look no further, Arrowmont Stables and Cabins is the perfect solution to your city blues. We look forward to staying here again next year!!

My daughter and I went on the Fern Trail ride this weekend. It was very nice. Our guide was very polite and competent, the horses were perfect and the trail was beautiful.....

We stayed for three days and two nights at Arrowmont Stables & Cabins, it was our wedding anniversary and the time there was amazing. Very relaxing and peaceful.

All the amenities were good. We even had a chance to catch some trout in the Tuckasegee river and grilled it in the provided grill.
The view on our cabin was exceptional. We surely will return here for more memorable times.

We went Monday, had to reschedule from Saturday. They were super cool about it. I believe it was Josh who was our tour guide. Really awesome place, would love to go back.

Truly amazing. We loved every minute. Our group included both adults and children. Our guide was wonderful. The scenery was gorgeous. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Highly recommend.

People were caring and considerate. Views from the trail were wonderful. 45 minute Safety training and horse paring really makes the experience better. Horses are well trained and guides are knowledgeable of the area and history.

My daughter and I spent a fun morning riding horses on beautiful mtn trail. Our hour long trip was led by Mitchell. I nice, polite and knowledgeable young man. We will defiantly come back for another ride!

We took a big group and had an amazing time not only on the ride but learning about horses! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys learning about horses and riding. It was also a very beautiful trail!

Had a wonderful ride even though the skies opened up on us at the end. Beautiful views and trails off the beaten path! The folks at Arrowmont were very gracious about rescheduling our session when I became sick on our originally scheduled day.

Had a great ride today. Lizzie and Nicole were two lovely young ladies with great stories to share. The horses were obviously well taken care of with great temperaments. Nice trails with some beautiful views. I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow which means I had a great time. I can't wait for my husband and kids to go out of town again so I can go back. Jessica (our guide) and David were wonderful. During our week vacation our family of five (with our 7 year old son and two daughters, 11 & 14) enjoyed several activities. But everyone agreed Arrowmont horseback riding was the best part of our trip. All on staff are extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job of informing our group on how to ride.

Beautiful trail, safe well conditioned horses, and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Our guide Jessica was very kind and accommodating. Beautiful - Breathtaking views. The Christmas tree farms nearby make for a wonderful aroma 🌲.Jessica informed us to be very careful of the trees as the horses like to hug them close and so u have to constantly be alert to not knock your knee. I would suggest maybe widening the trail a bit..... carving it out just a little more ..(maybe directing it just a little farther away from the tree? ) - I'd also suggest maybe smoothing it out a little more by removing some of the rocks a long the way. All in all, I would definitely recommend this trail to others. It's a little pricey in my opinion, but it's views are worth it to me. Great experience! We hope to come back!

Great trail! We waited an hour after arrival to mount the horse. Could be a little more efficient.
