Armor K9

I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding support provided by Armor K9. Although my dog wasn't ultimately trained by them, I have no doubt that it would have been a great fit. Lee reached out during our time of need and offered a very last-minute board and train for my dog, Duke. He even allowed for the possibility of Duke arriving a week early, although that didn't happen.
In addition, Lee generously extended the training period from two weeks to three and set up a payment plan to ensure I wouldn't have to lose my beloved companion. Lee's kindness and understanding at Armor K9 have been invaluable, and I can't thank him enough for his incredible support and flexibility.

Lee is a very knowledgeable experienced dog trainer and I was very blessed to be able to work by his side to work with my Belgian Malinois puppy who was only eight weeks old when we brought him to Lee and now I have a well trained great companion who with without the help of Lee would’ve been a lot of work and a lot of stress. Thanks to the help of Lee i have a dog who is my best friend, very obedient ,and a dog i can take anywhere and everywhere with me and not have to worry about looking over my shoulder. Lee made a huge difference in our lives with helping us get through the awful puppy stage when times felt impossible. Lee always reminded me to stay positive and never to give up. Pamela and I found out about Armor K-9 and Lee through a mutual veteran buddy in Prescott.

We couldn’t have picked a better place. We brought our recently adopted 1 1/2 year old Shepherd/Malinois mix named Tank.

We had zero training on how to manage this hi-energy dog. We loved him but we needed to make sure we could control him in all situations and make sure he didn’t have any serious behavioral problems that could get someone hurt.

Lee took him for 2 weeks, introduced him to other dogs and proper discipline techniques and then showed us how well Tank was responding when we came to pick him up. Basically, if we could spend a bit more time with Tank practicing the skills and techniques, he would be one of those ultra obedient dogs you see on TV.

After calling many, many dog trainers and not finding the right one.. I found and spoke with Lee. Lee took the time on the phone to make me feel comfortable in trusting him with our Mae. Mae spent 3 weeks learning so many amazing things. The day we picked her up, Lee spent a couple hours with us because we had to go to training too! He also sent us home with an at home guide that has been very helpful. Lee has followed up with us regularly, he truly cares! Thank you Lee and I couldn’t recommend Armor K9 more!

Lee has a wealth of knowledge regarding dogs and did such a good job with our GSD Deacon. We did his board and train program and got back a well mannered and obedient dog. We have continued his training and are so happy with how he is doing. Considering doing his protection training as well in the future. Overall had a great experience!

I brought my 12 week old belgian malinois To Lee at Armor K9First thing we did was a 10 day puppy Boot Camp. Lee taught Zeus 24 commands in 10 days with no corrections

Then I brought him back for two weeks, so Lee trained Zeus with corrections Zeus was tremendous when he came out. He listened to commands phenomenally well, and if he didn’t listen he listed to the corrections And was outstanding. He is still a puppy so he has a ways to go but Lee Was phenomenal with Zeus.

I’m also taking Zeus to Armor K9 For additional training. I am very, very happy with the training that Zeus received from Lee !! Highly recommend Lee and Armor K9 He is the BEST !!!

We had a wonderful experience with Lee and would highly recommend him to everyone! (and I do!) We contacted Lee because we were having some aggression problems with one of our dogs. Not only did he help us to solve the problem, he helped us to understand why our dog was acting the way he was and armed us with information on how to improve things in a very short period of time. After several sessions things had turned around and after 4, we were so happy with the results, we decided to work with Lee on our other dog too. So glad we found Lee and Armor K-9!

Worth the money. We have 2 German shepards. Our female is 2 and male is 8 months old. We had made attempts to train them ourselves and even did the Petsmart training (don't waste your money). We had very little success. We commonly bring our dogs out with us in public. Now we can actually walk them side by side, they stay when put in place if we walk away, and they now very rarely bark at dogs or other people anymore. We need to continue to work on this. And I know with the training they had and the training provided to us, we can successfully work the barking out of them. They sit by us when we are out around others and seldom need to hold their leash or correct them. They both hang out with us by our sides.

A very good experience with great results!
It wasn’t easy at first though.
We have a 2-year old female German Shepherd we got at a rescue. Her history was unknown as she had been found stray prior to life at the rescue.
We had her for almost 14 months and during that time, she was becoming more nervous and started behaviors like chasing cars along our fence, barking aggressively at people walking by and basically not responding to commands appropriately.
In our home, she was great. Loving and playful, but outside in our yard or during walks, it was miserable.
We were at a loss.

Lee was great with our dog, Thor. Thor is one year old and a large breed Rottweiler/mastiff mix. He used to jump up on whoever walked through the door and was constantly knocking over my kids, chewing their toys, nipping at the kids, not to mention the two couches he destroyed. When we decided to move forward with the training, I was pregnant and knew I would have to have a scheduled c-section so I was nervous about Thor jumping up on me with my incision, or being too rough and hurting my newborn. Lee made a night and day difference in his behavior. We picked Thor up 6 days after I delivered my baby and he has been so gentle and loving. He has not jumped up on anyone. I rate Armor K 9 five stars x 2. Thank you Lee for your expertise training my two very large 17 month old Golden Newfies. Lee is very knowledgeable of the breed and intuitive to their individual needs. Ike and Patton trained seperately . This gave them one on one time. They no longer jump on me, pull or tug. I regained my confidence with Lee's recommendations. He is awesome and truly dedicated to his profession. Definitely recommend Armor K 9.

Both Lee and Sonny are knowledgeable and applied. We came for an evaluation prior to putting together protocol and got to see some dogs in their program. These guys are transparent with expectations which I find extremely important.

I have to admit that we were a little nervous leaving our Mal with Lee and his team. During my 3 month search to select the right people to work with, we talked with Lee several times and became very confident that Gia would be in great hands. We chose to have the 2 week stay be the best for us. From the time Lee met us and made instant recommendations clinched the deal. We were updated regularly during her stay during the training. When we picked her up, she was a totally different animal and we also were able to learn how to work with her and reinforce what she has learned.

Armor K9 boarded and trained my Boarder Terrier puppy. I was have trouble handling her on walks and around the house. When she returned home after I was updated on techniques and commands, it was like night and day! No more pulling during walks, sits on command, knows the "down" command and the other commands she was taught by Armor k9. I highly recommend them because of the excellent training they gave my Maddie May.

Armor K9 did an incredible job with my Shepinois. He stayed with them for almost three weeks and worked with me on when I could pick him up. He did an incredible job on leash with the trainers when I picked him up. He is still the same playful dog at home but obedient on walks and outdoors (and even at a 4th of July parade with tons of people and other animals). I can now confidently carry my baby and walk my dog at the same time without fear that he is going to pull me over or run up to someone. Because I am apart of the family now, Armor K9 will keep their doors open to me whenever I have questions or need a refresher for me or my dog. May of 2023 we reached out to Armor K9 about our 5 month German Shepard that was becoming overwhelming and we knew we needed help! We met with Lee and his team and just knew it was going to an awesome fit! He went for a 3 week board and train and came back as the best doggo ever! My Malinois was unmanageable and had already fractured my knee cap while I was attempting to get any form of control I could. I was at my wits end. The growling, territorialism, lead pulling, and lack of discipline had me ripping my hair out and my nerves on end.

After 2.5 weeks (unfortunately it took longer because I came down with Covid around the pick up date. Lee and his amazing crew were kind enough to keep him for me while I got better) I picked up a completely new dog and new set of tools and skills to both manage and train my baby boy.

I brought Lee two male Aussie puppies who were fearful of the world outside their home and not good at following directions. Through Lee's training method they were transformed into confident puppies who willingly follow commands. Lee also taught the puppy "owner" leadership skills to be a successful pack leader. I'm grateful to Lee and his team for their skill and commitment to training dogs so that both dogs and owner can experience a warm, loving, yet mindful relationship.
