ECU Pediatric Gastroenterology

Dr Kunde is a wonderful doctor and I would recommend him to anyone with children who have GI issues. The nurse, medical assistant, and dietician were wonderful as well and made a great team. It was a great experience to have so many people involved who truly cared about my son.

I have been taking my son to see Dr. Kunde since I found out WakeMed had an infusion clinic in Raleigh. I love the service , the treatment and the knowledge I receive here. Dr Kunde is very knowledgeable, he takes his time explaining all the procedures, answering all your questions and working with you and your child to make the best decisions about your child's health. His staff is wonderful and their schedule is very flexible. I have no complaints at all. The best decision we made was to switch to this practice. I would recommend them to anyone.

We were desperate to get some help for our daughter who had been sick for weeks. The hospital, her pediatrician, and other doctors we spoke with told us she probably just had a bad virus and advised us to wait and it out. However, she continued to get worse and was in a lot of pain and lost a lot of weight over the a 3 week period. We made an appointment with Dr. Kunde and he diagnosed her right away. He discussed a treatment plan and took the time to explain it to us. He also took the time to understand the background to her illness, the issues she was having, and he listened to our concerns and addressed them. Dr. Kunde is very good doctor. He is very caring and professional. He has done an excellent job in taking great care of my daughter with her medical condition. I would highly recommend him as a GI doctor for their child.

Dr. Kunde and his staff have been remarkable! Our son's primary care physician referred us to Dr. Kunde after she was at a loss for what was happening with our 17 month old. After having been through multiple tests and feeling like we had no idea how to help our son we were just overwhelmed, scared and unsure. We were almost expecting more of the same, no answers. But we checked in, the nurses were kind and compassionate (something we needed desperately at that point). Dr. Kunde and his staff are excellent! Dr. Kunde has consistently been accessible regarding my daughter's diagnosis and care. His nursing staff is very professional and thorough, providing invaluable phone support. With my daughter newly diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, I had lots of questions and concerns at her follow-up visit. Dr. Kunde gave me all the time I needed to have those questions answered. I would recommend Dr. Kunde to anyone in need of a pediatric gastroenterologist. He was professional, knowledgeable, and in the words of his staff, "He gets things done." My child contracted C Diff. He was not responsive to antibiotics and was in need of a very specialized treatment (Fecal Microbiotal Transplant) that is not widely available. Not only did Dr. Kunde have the experience to perform this procedure, but he advocated my child's case with the hospital. His advocacy has opened the door for other individuals with C Diff to receive Fecal Microbiota Transplants (FMT). He has given my child a second chance at living a healthy, normal life. I can echo the words of his staff. Dr. Kunde gets things done, and for this I am forever grateful.

Dr. Kunde is the most competent, compassionate and kind doctor I have ever seen. My daughter was very sick and sadly very distrustful of doctors by the time we got to him. She is a Type A personality and he answered all of her thousands of questions which made her trust him. That trust allowed her care to go so smoothly. If I say "Dr. Kunde said take we are going to try this" she says "okay he won't do it if it's not best for me". As a mom that makes you cry because there is no convincing your child that this doctor is okay HE radiates so much real sincerity even a child can feel his love for what he does. He earned his title of doctor through medical school but no training in the world can teach a person to be the kind of outstanding human being Dr. Kunde is.

After seeing 2 Pediatric Gastroenterologist over the course of 5+ years, our daughter finally was able to get a detail understanding of her digestion issues all with the wonderful help from Dr. Kunde. We appreciated the knowledge Dr. Kunde provided and was also happy with his 'bedside manners' (which can be very hard come by with healthcare providers).
