The Goddard School

We have sent our son to this school for two years in preparation for his transition to kindergarten. Our experience has been terrific! All of the teachers and school staff are caring and helpful, and the breadth of things he has been exposed to in the classroom has been great. As an added bonus, they are one of the only places that offers half day care , which was important to accommodate our preferred schedule. We will be sad to leave.

Our 2 kids spent a good amount of their 2-3 years at Goddard and we are so grateful that time. All the love and support from teachers and community was important for them. There they learned social skills, how to be kind and curious. Highly recommended.

The experience of sending my daughter to Goddard was like having another whole parent around to help us. Their attentiveness and care to every developmental phase of our child’s life from tummy time to build her core when she was 6 weeks old all the way to her advanced reading skills when she was 6 years old and graduated kindergarten. They spoil you and your family with awesome pictures and curriculums on this amazing app and you meet great parent and have tons of play dates and you get to act like you did all of that for your amazing child (because you did when you drop them off at Goddard school in Lincoln Park!)

We’ve had a fantastic experience at The Goddard School in Lincoln Park. The teachers are warm, attentive, and truly invested in the kids’ development. Social and academic excellence, at the earliest of stages. The communication with parents is excellent, and the facility is always clean and welcoming. Highly recommend to any family looking for a nurturing, structured early education environment.

Our son spent a little over a year at the Goddard school and recently left because we moved. He had a great experience at Goddard and the staff was always super friendly, helpful and accommodating. This was his first time attending school and they made him (and us!) feel so comfortable. Every teacher he had cared for him very well and always provided us with great updates. He learned a lot too! We would highly recommend!

Absolutely thrilled with our experience at The Goddard School in Lincoln Park! Over the past seven years, all three of my children have had the pleasure of attending this fantastic school, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the care and education they received. From the moment we enrolled our first child, we knew we had found a special place with large and bright classrooms, secured outdoor playgrounds and ample indoor play space. Both the teachers and management are incredibly dedicated and nurturing, creating a warm and inviting environment where learning and growth flourish. Each teacher we have had, from infants to PreK, were not only skilled but also genuinely passionate about early childhood education, making every day an exciting adventure for my kids. My daughter has been at The Goddard School since around 18 months old and we have been extremely happy with the school, teachers and how much our daughter has grown since starting. She is almost 2.5 years old and not only has the school helped with her socialization, but also her vocabulary. Lastly, Mya's teachers Ms. Grace and Mr. Adam are truly the best! They care about her so much and you can see that.

We were super happy with the Godard school on Armitage. Felt my son improved socially a lot but also educationally. Strong program including early spelling, math concepts, science, languages and movement. Very nice friendly atmosphere between kids, parents and families. We all survive Covid so great common sense from staff. My son was super happy there and I strongly recommend the place . I think we were super lucky to have my child in a safe, happy, but at the same time strongly educational program.

Our son was at Goddard for 5 years and he loved it! The teachers and staff are warm, caring, & organized. My son loved each classroom he was in and I would recommend Goddard to any family we know for childcare and preschool. Only wish he could have stayed for kindergarten!

Goddard on Armitage has been part of my family's lives for the past 8 years. Not only did my three children grow up with them, but it feels like my husband and I did as parents too. From the first day in 2014 dropping my daughter off in the infant room as we tried to go to work pretending like we weren't crying, Jason and Lauren have been there for us as partners in our parenting journey.

With three very different children, we went through it ALL with them - social, emotional, physical, developmental, educational - every time we encountered a new phase of our childrens' development, Jason and Lauren's excellently chosen teachers were there for us. My Goddard mom friends and I laugh that we didn't actually potty train our kids - the Goddard Panda Room teachers did. Or how to take their plates to the sink - Penguin Room teachers. Or how to play Chess - the specials...

The Goddard became our extended family! My 2 boys attended the Goddard School in Lincoln Park for 2 years - our oldest started at 4 years old & the youngest at 1 year. The oldest went through the PreK and Junior Kinder program, while the little guy went through his progression of toddler classes. Every single teacher felt like family. Each one really cared for my boys, whether it was extra hugs at a sad drop off or highlighting areas of concern in terms of speech delays. The classrooms are huge, well lit, and extremely clean. The owner & directors are incredibly responsive to any question or concern that pops up - email response times were better than any corporate environment I've been in! We just finished 5 years at the Goddard School of Lincoln Park. My 5 1/2 year old was there since she was 6-weeks old and my 3 1/2 year old was also there since he was 6-weeks old. We only left because we moved out of town. I cannot share enough praise for this institution. Goddard was less of a school/daycare and more an extension of our family. Jason, Lauren and the entire front office staff are compassionate, attentive, responsive and caring. That sentiment was contagious and it was clear that the teachers truly cared about my kids. Beyond all of that, what was most impressive was the growth and learning we saw in the kids. My daughter just started her first day of kindergarten today and I know she is going to do great in large part because of the knowledge and skill base she gained at Goddard. My son is 18 months old in one of the toddler rooms at The Annex, and has been at Goddard since 4 months old. What a joy it has been to see his growth and development flourish with the faculty in each classroom. Our son loves to go to school, loves his teachers and the dear friendships he’s made already! They keep him busy and do such fun activities. He absolutely loves the water days twice a week in the summer. At Goddard, they make classroom transitions easy and give peace of mind to this working mama!

Our daughter was enrolled at Goddard and we will put our younger one on the waitlist. Goddard is an amazing school with wonderful, caring, energetic and nurturing teachers. The director truly cares for his students and the families and makes sure everyone is happy, well cared for and thriving.
The classrooms are bright, warm, happy places and the curriculum is both fun and stimulating. We’re very impressed by how much they taught our daughter and how much she has grown during her time at Goddard. Thank you!

There is no comparison to the value of the Goddard School philosophy and education. We have been happier than we ever thought with our LO at Goddard Lincoln Park. The facility is top of the line-including the most up to date technology, beautiful wall murals, clean and stimulating classrooms and an actual on-site outdoor play area which is rare in Lincoln Park. The administration and owner are available at all times with any needs we've had, and it is clear that the staff and teachers truly care about the children and value their role as educators. We cannot recommend this school enough!

Our child attended Goddard for 9 months (until we relocated outside of IL). Our high expectations were met while she was part of two age- appropriate classrooms. We were very pleased with our child's experience! The children are well cared for - they learn to grow as individuals, as well as socially with others in a classroom environment. Teachers provide organized activities and free play and with that, the children learn so much. They acquire life skills, confidence, the list goes on. We felt the teachers and staff truly care. It was such a positive experience in our daughter's life - she loved her teachers and was quite fond of her classmates. We reviewed the Tadpole videos/photos every day together. The app allows parents to get a glimpse into their day. It is a fantastic way to be involved and be able to chat about the day with your child. All in all, this is what we...
