The Goddard School

Amazing preschool with small class sizes and daily outdoor activity, even in the winter! We throroughly enjoyed our 2 years of preschool at Goddard. All of the teachers and staff are so kind, patient and make the effort to really know everyone. My shy, quiet son really thrived in the smaller classroom. He learned so much in his 2 years there, we wish he could stay for Kindergarten!!

Our daughter went to Goddard from age 3-5 and she loved it! She always came back from Goddard excited about all the activities she did and what she learned. Goddard engaged her and tapped in to her creative nature. We definitely feel she is prepared for kindergarten. Jason does a great job running the school, and was extremely accommodating to our requests. He is always trying to bring new things to Goddard including coding, a science fair, teaching Mandarin, Mr. Andy's music class, and so much more. The teachers were always kind, supportive and provided great feedback at parent-teacher conferences or whenever we asked. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our daughter and highly recommend Goddard in Lincoln Park.

#1 reason: my daughter is happy and loves it! She's learning and looks forward to school every day. Additionally, I love the updates so I know what my child is doing. There is great communication from the teachers, directors, and even owner who are all incredibly responsive. It's been great decision for our family.

The LP Goddard School is absolutely wonderful! Our family loves all the teachers and how much they care for the children. They are so considerate of each child's needs and very aware or allergies etc. Our son has enjoyed being a part of the school so much and talks about his teachers, friends, and classes at home all the time. Unfortunately, we are moving out of state and it will be so hard for me to say goodbye to Goddard and especially to the teachers who have been a part of my son's life and his first experience with school. If you have a chance to send your children to this Goddard location please do. You will not be disappointed.

My son attended The Goddard School from the time he was 6 months old to 4.5 years old starting in August of 2011 & it has been the most incredible experience! Everyone from the owner to the directors to all of the teachers along the way have been like family. They have been encouraging and excited about every milestone that he reached from crawling to walking to talking to being potty trained to reading & writing. My son has loved going to school there, speaks of his teachers fondly and loves his friends.

Excellent school, amazing teachers, incredible staff, and most important, a creative, fun, play-based learning environment that motivated my son as he *wanted* to go to school each day.

The play-based curriculum is so important for learning and also for developing social and emotional learning (SEL) skills for your child. The teachers are caring, passionate and creative and encourage parent involvement and volunteerism. The facility (and security) are excellent as well. It's a wonderful community at the Goddard School, and I'm proud to be a Goddard parent.

Goddard Lincoln Park was a great first school for our daughter. She attended the school off and on from ages 3-5, due to family travels. She learned a lot - intellectually and socially - and enjoyed the experience very much. On her very first day, she did not cry at all when we dropped her off, only when we came to pick her up! Any time we returned after an extended time away, Jason & Gina always made us feel very welcome. They even invited our daughter back to "graduate" with her Pre-K class - a very special event for all of us.

The school has a warm and cheerful atmosphere, created by the dedicated staff and the environment itself. Being a new school, all of the facilities and equipment are new and well designed. My daughter attended the Goddard School for pre-school and pre-K before starting kindergarten in August 2013. I didn't want to write a review until I could see how well Goddard actually prepared her for kindergarten. Not only did Goddard prepare her for the academic aspect of kindergarten, but it prepared her for the emotional and social parts as well. Though being the youngest in her class, my daughter is excelling at Ogden International. She wasn't afraid, she made friends quickly, and she's ahead of almost all of her peers academically. And while I'd love to take credit for that, most of the credit is due to Goddard.
