A-1 Carpet Cleaners

After 64 years of owning homes and building one in five states, I have to say that A1 Carpets gets the Golden Palm for Service from me.

From the first phone call until he left me with dirty carpets and an upholstered chair that looks brand new, including a long carpeted, staircase that is now pristine. The whole experience was a Joy.

The price was reasonable, Joseph took the time to listen to my problems, explained everything that would happen and why, and even left the heavy furniture in my living room that could not be removed, exactly where he found it after moving it to clean under it.

If this review seems over the top, that is because the service was extraordinary. It is rare today to find luxury service like this, and at a reasonable price. And an effort like this should be rewarded.

I will use no one else, but A1 carpets. You...

Excellent and professional cleaning
Joe has a great personality dealing with clients
Thank you and I recommend this company.

Very professional, good communication when they will be there did a great job on our carpets and upholstery!! Highly recommend

Nice guy, who did a fine job.

Joe did an incredible job cleaning the carpets throughout our home before we moved in back in May 2026! He tackled nearly 10,000 square feet in a single day, his pricing was extremely reasonable, and the quality of his work was excellent. The carpets look and feel great, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Joe was professional, efficient, and hardworking. Highly recommend!

They were responsive, consistently communicated, timely and did an amazing job on a stained carpet. Joe is a professional!

Joseph was very thorough in cleaning all the rugs in my home. Thanks again!

A-1 Carpet Cleaners did an excellent job! Joseph Ray was very professional and helpful, and kept me informed before, during, and after the job was completed. I highly recommend Joseph and his team.

Super impressed. Great work and great to work with.

Joe was on time and explained the whole process of the work he was doing. He even took the time to ask about fragrance tolerance and adjusted it for sensitivity. Highly recommend this company if you’re looking in the Charlottesville area.

Great service. Great price.

We regularly have our 10+ carpets cleaned by Joe, he always does a wonderful job!

Wonderful service! Carpet looks great!!

Really awesome job and super friendly, would recommend to anyone

As always, Joe was very thorough and personable. I can depend on him to do a good job.

We purchased a home where the previous owner had an elderly parent who used a wheelchair, leaving black and gray marks throughout the light-colored carpeting. We had previously hired another carpet cleaning company, and while they said they had done the best they could, the carpet still had very noticeable gray marks throughout.

With guests coming this weekend, we were able to get A-1 to come out on short notice and clean the carpets. The results were amazing! All of the marks that the previous company had been unable to remove were gone.

The carpet doesn’t look brand new, but it looks significantly better, and the improvement was beyond what we expected. We no longer need to use area rugs to cover up the stains and marks.

We’re extremely happy with the results and would definitely recommend A-1 to anyone looking for a great carpet cleaning company.

I’ll add to A-1’s strong reputation by saying that my experience was efficient and high-quality. They were able to complete my requested carpet cleaning on short notice, all with professionalism, clear communication, and friendliness. And, of course, the floors look good as new! I’d definitely recommend A-1!

Excellent job!

Fast and efficient. My rugs and carpets look like new. I highly recommend this service.

excellent work!

Wonderful experience!

Joe and his company are OUTSTANDING....very professional, arriving on time, taking care of surroundings, friendly, and knowledgable....the carpet looks like new! He also did a great job on a few pieces of upholstery. This is the fourth or fifth time he's cleaned out carpets and I wouldn't call anyone else! We highly recommend A-1!

A1 Carpet Cleaners provides excellent results and professional service, particularly in deep cleaning rugs and upholstery. Our oriental & other carpets are brighter & softer, as if new. Acrylic paint was removed, which was not expected. We highly recommend & will definitely recommend & reuse when needed. The service is not inexpensive however worth every penny.

Joe was excellent, super friendly and did an amazing job on our nursery chair and our little ones bedframe. We didn't think it was going to be able to be cleaned!

Very happy how dirty areas are cleaned from the dog and Virginia clay. Carpet and rugs look vibrant. I didn't realize how dirty some areas were until they were cleaned.

Joseph did a great job on our carpets! They came out looking great and smelling fresh. We will definitely use again!

I highly recommend A-1 Carpet Cleaners! Joe was professional, informative, and took the time to explain the cleaning process. He arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, and did an outstanding job. Our carpets look amazing and smell so fresh! The pricing was very reasonable, and they were able to fit us into their schedule on the exact date we wanted. If you're looking for quality carpet cleaning with excellent customer service, A-1 Carpet Cleaners is the company to call!

Joe and his son are outstanding- they arrive when they say they will- they are thorough and the cleaned rug and furniture look brand new!

A-1 Carpet Cleaners and Joe were excellent! They bent over backwards to fit us into their schedule and the service itself was top notch.
