Amazing, caring staff and facility. Best decision I've made for my mental health. Short stays at hospital psychiatric units are good for stabilization of severe mental illness symptoms, but never gets to the roots of the problems. MRC provides several modes of therapy daily, exposing each resident to the possibilities available for help. There is something for everyone struggling with mental health. The knowledge and care I received there was top notch. There are many freedoms given, so it doesn't feel like you're locked away, like many places. The food is amazing and even the staff that serves meals are friendly and caring. There are so few long-term mental health facilities available. We are blessed to have one nearby. The mental health program at MRC is incredible and the staff is very caring and attentive. Coming here literally saved me for myself as I was ready to check out. What I learned about myself here will definitely help guide me to becoming the woman that I was always supposed to be, but couldn’t figure how to do on my own. The program was designed in a way that you got a variety of therapies. The rooms were super clean and comfy with adjustable beds and TVs so you can sign into your streaming accounts, and I cannot say enough about how good the food is! It was hands down a scary decision for me to go 5 hours from my family for help, but let me tell you, it was the best decision I’ve made in a while. Everybody there was so helpful and made life easier as I was on the verge of suicide before coming on. They made my recovery and process so much easier and just made me feel like I was at home and that somebody actually cared a lot. You can go to hospitals for help, where it feels like the nurses there are there just for the money but I can tell you if you come here, it is the complete opposite. The staff are so genuine. I can't say enough wonderful things about Midwest Revovery Centers! My daughter was in immediate and urgent need of care and housing. She suffers with schizoaffective disorder and was in crisis. I called Midwest on Christmas day! They responded, on Christmas day! I still can't get over that, and that was just the beginning of the many remarkable and gracious acts of care and kindness, their staff is beyond compare. I say that after years of experience with my daughter, in the mental health care system, she received everything she needed and more with regard to safety, sustenance, environment, and especially mental health care from the moment we walked in the front door, she was treated as a special guest , rather than a problem when I left her there, I cried with happiness, knowing that she was in good hands. I had a family member of mine recently complete the 45-day treatment at MRC. It truly helped them get their spark back and become a whole different person. You have to be willing to allow the healthcare workers and therapists on your team to assist you with your mental health and willing to put the individual work in to see the outcome. I would recommend this program to anyone who will listen. It helped my family member with their mental health tremendously, as another program had already failed them. It is a longer stay (45 days) but they allow visitors twice a week and cellphone time, as well as a landline that is available to them at all times. 10/10 recommend MRC and this program! Read more >

I can’t say enough about MRC’s mental health program! The staff were incredible and really care about you. Every time I thought I interacted with the nicest staff member, here come the next. It’s almost like all the nicest people left in the world work there lol. The program is genious in the way it was set up and really made sure you got a variety of therapies. Midwest Recovery Centers is simply excellent. The staff is professional, very well suited to their individual roles, and so very empathetic. Each person with whom my daughter interacted during her stay, had an entirely positive affect on her. Beyond that, the leadership of this organization, and the individuals at the center, went so very far above and beyond what was expected or required of them. We were in crisis ON Christmas Day and my voicemail was returned ON Christmas within an hour. My daughter has been living with her diagnosis for more than 10 years and in all of that time, we have never found a place that comes anywhere close to Midwest Revovery.
