Had a great experience with this company. Although I had never heard of them, and was a tad skeptical when the sales rep told me about them, my experience has been great. I applied for credit through another bank that was not able to approve me. After I was turned down, the sales rep at Regency Furniture told me that they had another option. I was approved immediately. I thought it was going to take a long time. But several seconds later I had an approval. And I was approved for more than I asked for. I was given 12 months to pay off my loan without interest. I had a minor issue with the due date about three months into the loan, repayment period. The customer service rep who assisted me was very helpful. I paid the account in full a month later. I would use this company again. They took a chance on me when other lenders would not. My husband and I purchased a sofa with RTG and didn't have a choice at that time with our financing options. Tidewater Finance was suggested by our salesperson Abdel. We were leary at first but everything went smooth. We had 6 months to pay our sofa off and in 3 months had it paid off with ZERO interest. Tidewater NEVER harassed us (since we pay our bills before the due date) and Mike from Tidewater was extremely courteous with us when we called in to ask questions. Reviews are usually very negative. People who can't pay their bills on time (for a variety of reasons). At the end of the day, if you can pay your bills on time, creditors including Tidewater won't bother you. They extended you the credit in our or (your) time of need, the least we can do as a society is pay our debts back without excuses. Very rude customer service to managers. They are all rude. Please read before establishing business with Tidewater.

My experience with them has been excellent. Customer service is great and the positive hit my credit score is nice also.

The worst Finance Company! Their people are rude! Their business practices are strong armed mafia tactics. I have asked to move the payment due date and they refuse, but tell me that there is a grace period of 10 days before they consider it late, except the harassing phone calls begin 3 days later! I will NEVER use these clowns again. I am working on getting this paid off ASAP.

Someone suggests using them for their promotional deferred interest loans...RUN AWAY!!!!! Don't do it it's not worth it!

If you do as you should there's no problems the customer service and accounts rep are always polite and respectful! Communication is the key if you're going to be late call them before they call you and there is no issue i like that they don't phone harass you.

Pure b.s. No customer service at all. Harass you Even when you make your payment on time! Call at all hours.
