This finance company is targeted at people with lower credit scores and they trap them into a financial nightmare.
I applied for a credit account at Home Depot and received a denial on first attempt which I was perfectly okay with, I have a lower score and not the greatest credit history over the last two years as I am 25 and recently divorced. I have been trying to rebuild my credit so I've opened a few accounts with easy payoffs so I won't have to worry about harming my own score.
So after my denial at Home Depot there was a second screen that popped up on their computer offering me a line of credit for Home Depot backed by "Tidewater Financial." I read most of the terms, made sure there was no monthly/annual fee on the account, checked the interest rate (I knew it was high but I accepted it, the card was planned to be paid off in one sum...
