Company IT outdated. When you call their verification process is extremely redundant.
I put my last 5 of my Social and zip over in the keypad. Then once a representative is on the line 3-4 more things ate verified. Payments are also inconvenient, you're unable to pay electronically with anything other than Debit or account information. Credit cards, zelle, cashapp etc aren't accepted. To top it all off the $10.00 fee. Outdated and Inconvenient!!!!!

I can see why this company has a 1.7 star rating for customer service, their people are really rude and if you don’t pay within the 10 days they just send you threats by email and phone calls!

Tidewater Finance Company- Yall Real Funny!

I've been financing my car with Tidewater since April 2019 and never really had an issue before. I normally handle all my business through the website make my payments, set up auto pay, make payment arrangement, check balance, etc. Never had any issues... until about two months ago when Tidewater changed their website, I've been unable to login ever since. I have called Tidewater several times every week since then unable to reach a supervisor. I've tried creating an account with my old account number, and with the new account number the representative gave me, I tried logging in on internet explorer and Chrome like the rep suggested. I've tried with my phone, tablet and computer there are so many issues I can not list them all! The point is I still can not access my account on the new website. Tidewater is unhelpful, I don't...

Absolute worst finance company I have dealt with, and I'm in the finance industry as a profession. Worst website layout (you can't even see past payments), terrible service, poor payment tracking, lack of billing consistency, and so much more. I'll never again utilize them at all costs. 0 stars if I could. Negative would be better.

I just got a letter saying this company has a lawsuit against me. Not only have I NEVER heard of this company, I have NEVER had any form of credit or even bought anything with payments. Never had a car because I am disabled, never bought furniture or anything else the website says they finance. Yet, somehow, this company has a lawsuit filed against me with no account tied to them. I am absolutely going to take legal action against them and I suggest most of the people who have reviewed them do the same.

I wish I could’ve gave them no stars . This the worst company I’ve ever encountered. I don’t recommend anybody use them . I’ve had troubles with them taking 3 payments out of my account in one month and nobody on their side gives a damn at all .. smh

The trick to “no interest” financing is to do your own math and be sure you know the deadline for that “no interest” offer. They must tell you if you ask.
If you miss that deadline, you will be charged interest retroactively back to/from the beginning of the loan period and it will be added onto your balance. So figure out your own “minimum” payments.
Hint: The “minimum payments” they establish for you will not be enough to pay it off in time!
(That’s how they make their money!)
Divide your total loan amount by the number of months (or better yet paydays) between now and the final due date.
This will tell you your TRUE pay-it-off-in-time Payment amount. If you have a little extra to add to your payment, do so! Staying ahead of it is the key!
Don’t count on them notifying you of a payment due, as you will soon be ahead of their payment schedule and...

I was skeptical seeing all the bad reviews but in reality this was the place that approved my credit for my furniture. The website says pay three days before your due date.I pay my bill online and I use my pay check two weeks before the due date, so far everything has been on time, no extra hidden fees. In the end I was able to get the furniture with no money down, so to me I love it, my payments are split up for 12 months, perfect.
Update 8-16-20 I recently paid off my furniture, everything went well. I never had a problem. They answer when I call as well.

I paid off my loan of $1,300 in July 2020. I never missed a payment. I never had a problem with them. They sent me a bill and I paid it online, that was the extent of our business relationship and that was fine by me. I had a low credit score and the still approved me easy, no hassle, no co-signer. They gave me credit to purchase a new bed(which is still comfy btw) and I paid them back. Simple as that. I called them one-time just to get a balance and the picked up the phone, let me know how much I owed and I said thank you, bye.
