The T.E.A. Center

My son and daughter have enjoyed coming to the TEA center for the past 3 years. The teachers are engaging and encourage students to develop important life skills such as leadership, mindfulness, collaboration and independence. For the aftercare program the children are broken up into grade levels to work on homework with a teacher assigned to help each grade. Enforcing this work then play routine after school has been extremely helpful. The extended hours (until 6:45pm) also allows for flexibility with work schedules. They also offer a variety of enrichment classes ranging from languages to dance. My daughter has enjoyed meeting children from other neighboring elementary schools and varying age groups. I highly recommend The TEA center and so do my kids!

Both our children have been attending the TEA center for after school care and the summer camps for the past 3 years and we love it! There is a great balance of academics and play in the aftercare which encourages homework first and groups the children into grade levels with an assigned teacher. There is also an extensive offering of enrichment classes ranging from languages to dance. Enrichment classes are offered on site and allow for the children to try many activities. The teachers are engaging and attentive. Also, because the TEA center picks up from multiple elementary schools the children have made friends with children from all over McLean and have expanded their network of friends. We highly recommend the TEA center!!

My daughter joined at TEA center among the first few kids when it was started and she is still continuing there. It's like a second home for her which is safe and reliable for me as a concerned parent.
TEA center is not comparable to any child care service provider instead it is place where families are in the relationship. A perfect place for trusting, caring and educating your kid.

My daughter has been at TEA center for the last fours years. The TEA center is much more than just a place for after school care, but a place she make new friends, learnt to be a leader, and grow in an enriched environment where many classes are offered for the kids to experience. The Director of the center, Ms. Mayosha, is a phenomenal educator, and her staff truly love and care for the children under their care. My daughter's afternoon at TEA center starts with them leading the kids to practice mindfulness, and goes into the reading and homework sessions, followed by enrichment classes. Over the years she has learnt guitar, Chinese, STEM experiments, Art, Dance, cooking and crochet at the TEA center. There is really no other place like it! Being a parent working full-time in DC area, the extended hours TEA center offers is especially helpful. We just love it here!

Attending The TEA Center has been a great educational opportunity for my child during the past year and a half! He has attended both the before and after care program during the school year as well as the summer camps. We were so happy to find a program that supports learning and leadership in a fun environment! It is also so important to have peace of mind in trusting that my child is in a positive, safe, and nurturing place outside of school, and I can confidently say that The TEA Center has been that for my son. Thank you to The TEA Center for all that you have done for my family!

I would've given out 10 stars if I could! My 1st grade daughter has been going to the Tea Center over a year since the time of its establishment. The Tea Center has been doing so many great things for my daughter nurturing her intellectually, physically and emotionally. The staffs at Tea Center are amazing. They are all so kind and loving, professional and passionate. The director Ms. Mayosha's vision for children in care is inspiring. She has been implementing various onsite enrichment programs which suit to every one's level of development and interest.. The center has just moved to a new facility which all the staffs worked so hard to make it a 'second home' for all. Very nice and we love love the Tea center!

Professional and caring staff that's puts the needs of the child first and foremost. The Tea Center is a great environment for children to learn and grow.

The Tea Center is the best place to take children after school. Your kids will get help with there homework and take enrichment classes like dancing and cooking. When it's a nice day they can play outside.
