The appraisal report had the street name incorrect. The photos of the lot in the report were not the actual lot on which I am building. The appraiser marked the neighborhood as "stable" when in fact there is substantial growth (supported by the number of homes currently under construction). The value assigned to the lot was $125,000 less than what I paid for it as well as $125,000 less than two other lots sold on the same street for the same price.

Once the lender contacted for appraisal, we were given a date of 10/14 by which they would have the report available. It was not received by the lender until 10/20.

I was very disappointed with the appraisal, as was the lender who is currently planning on disputing the report. This was an unfortunate loss of hundreds of dollars on my part.
