In August, 2018, our daughter Regan started Stepping Stones as a diaper-wearing one-and-a-half-year-old. It's almost exactly four years later, and she is a five-year-old more than ready for kindergarten. Through a pandemic, Stepping Stones has nurtured her interests in art, taught her how to use scissors well, offered her ballet classes, has gotten her to communicate more effectively, and maybe most importantly, was instrumental in getting her out of diapers early on. Reagan knows how to write her name, do some basic addition, and can sound out her letters and read some words. Every teacher at Stepping Stones played an instrumental role in her development, most recently Ms. Echo and Ms. V, who are both wonderful teachers and people. Our son enrolled in Stepping stones this year and was welcomed into the explorers classroom. We cannot say enough about the leadership during a challenging time with COVID. They put the kids safety and needs first and ensure parents are updated.

Last summer, we selected Stepping Stones Academy (SSA) -- Honolulu for its full-day, pre-Kindergarten school program. SSA also offers a full range of other childcare services including infant daycare services for younger children, however, it was an ideal pre-K choice for our soon-to-be 4-year old son. Our son's teachers, Ms V and Ms Echo, are exceedingly patient and ever-vigilant when it comes to teaching the basics of common courtesy, sharing, and mutual respect. Daily practice with the written alphabet (both upper and lower case), recognizing and creating patterns, letter-to-word associations, and a multitude of expanded activities involving creative art are just a few of SSA's curriculum offerings for Junior Kindergarteners. It’s taken me awhile to write this review for Stepping Stones Academy (posting this means we are sadly leaving SSA). My daughter has been part of the SSA family since she was 2 months old, and has thrived under the amazing tutelage and care of the Stepping Stones o’hana.

Stepping Stones Academy has provided the most amazing care of our daughter during her 4+ years of instruction. My wife and I can say, without hesitation, that Stepping Stones has absolutely helped our daughter rapidly grow physically, socially and intellectually over the past 4 years. It’s a bitter sweet moment for us as we say goodbye to the many loving teachers and friends of Stepping Stones.
