Stepping Stones Academy

Stepping Stones Academy is an outstanding early education program. The faculty and staff are nurturing, attentive, and informative. I appreciate how the teachers provide daily feedback through written progress reports (infant class) and emails about the day's activities and your child's schedule (toddler classes), complete with photos of your child. I also appreciate the teachers being amenable to heating food where necessary. This is not an option in some schools. Alternatively, a catered lunch (~$4.23/meal) is available for parents who don't wish to pack lunch for their child everyday.

Stepping Stones is extremely clean, safe (the external entrances have cipher locks), and temperature-controlled (all areas are air-conditioned). I value knowing my child is safe while being indoors at school and exploring in a large indoor playground. The program has convenient...

Our daughter started in the Explorers class in Honolulu a few months ago and she loves it, so do we. We really like the clear communication with her teachers and the staff, the curriculum (very fun, creative and educational), and the daily online reports that tell us what/how much she ate, whether and when she went potty, how long she napped for and her mood. The teachers also email every day describing the activities they did, the books they read and the songs they sung. We especially appreciate the photos they email us, and their teachers take A TON of photos - thank you so much for this! Also, so far, the student-teacher ratio has been 10:2 which is great, especially during the playground time. All in all, we are very satisfied with the care our daughter gets at the SSA and most importantly it gives us a peace of mind knowing that she is in good hands there.

Excellent preschool. The teachers are so patient. Just this year with no additional cost my grandson was able to watch a teacher demo a drone, story telling with sea life park, play basketball, participate in a dance class. This is on top of the fact that he is only three and can recognize three letter words. This school is amazing.

My daughter loves it here. The teachers & staff here are amazing. They are patient, kind , & great at communicating with the children.

My son is 3 years old and I have been sending him to Stepping Stones Academy since he was 8 months old! We are so happy with the facility as well as with the staff, who is very warm loving and professional. I wouldn't send my son anywhere else on the Island and hopefully you will too!

My daughter Karina loved attending her pre-school class, she absolutely loved Mrs Veena and Ms. Janice. The staff ended up becoming like a family. My daughter never had a bad day there.. I totally loved, loved that school.. We will miss you Charlotte. Thank you for everything!

As new parents, choosing the right daycare for our then 11-month old was a crucial decision for us at the time. We wanted a safe, nurturing, educational, and licensed institution. We toured a number of daycares and the only place we felt most comfortable at was Stepping Stones Academy. The tuition is a bit more than we budgeted for, but at the end of the day, we are rest assured that our son is in good and capable hands. Definitely can’t put a price on the peace of mind you have with your child’s safety and well-being. What’s more is that from the moment you step through those doors the school is filled with a positive learning environment from its caring teachers to the exemplary cleanliness of the facility.
