Stepping Stones Academy

Love this preschool!!!! Both of my girls were there for the past three years. One graduated last year and one is still enjoying Mrs Arleans class.
Love the worm and loving environment... the staff is super nice and friendly giving the feel of: everything is good all the time. The kids are super happy and come back every day with a new story about the interesting day they had...
the place always clean and organized, full of great books toys games and creative stations which I love the most.
Really recommend this preschool, I feel calm and comfortable and confidant when my kids are here.

My three year old grandson attended Stepping Stones Academy for about a year when he moved to the mainland. Before he moved he knew all the alphabets, numbers and colors. He was starting three word recognition. He left for three months and returned to Hawaii for a visit. In that short time he forgot some of his alphabets, some of his colors and could only count to ten. There is a definite difference in the way Stepping Stones Academy teach their students. It is truly a loving and supportive environment. The children seem very happy go lucky and eager to go to school. My grandson is also very shy, but Ms. Charlotte and her staff seem to have a way of bringing him out of his shell. I highly recommend Stepping Stones Academy to all parents as a wonderful nurturing place for their children.

Stepping Stones Academy has been a vital part of my son Skyler’s life since the age of 3 yrs. old. He is now 5 yrs. old and this will be his last year at Stepping Stones Academy. Reflecting back on those 3 years I can only think of nothing but positive memories and experiences that have certainly enriched and have helped shape my son to who he is today. We love stepping stones academy. Our daughter has so much fun with her friends and teachers everyday.

I was very hesitant at first to leave my baby (3 months at the time) at Stepping Stones Academy. Being a first time mother makes every decision, especially childcare, very difficult and emotional. I remember crying a lot each time I dropped her off. Over the next couple of weeks though... something amazing happened. Each time I dropped her off got a little easier. This is because the staff at Stepping Stones ARE amazing. They really helped me to feel at ease because the care my daughter was receiving was excellent. You can tell they really care about the kids there. In fact, there are teachers from classes other than the infant room who say hi to my daughter by name when I arrive or pick her up! So they either really care and get to know the kids very well....or my daughter is notorious for some reason and everyone knows her :) anyways, the teachers in the infant room are...

I wanted to share my appreciation for all that the SSA staff has done for our son and our family. It is not just about the quality of care or instruction he receives everyday. It is about the small thoughtfulness put into the social and emotional development of our son.

When we received the pictures of the Toddler 1 class walking throughout the building to receive trick-or-treats, I had chicken skin. We, as parents, can't even get our act together to plan a night of trick or treating so I know the thought and care with which that activity was prepared. It extends far above and beyond the everyday logistics of running the Toddler classroom. You can extend this sentiment to basically anything that happens at SSA (spirit week activities, children's birthdays).

Our daughter has been at Stepping Stones Academy for the past 9 months (starting at 3 months old) and we could not be happier!! Sending her to Stepping Stones Academy is the best decision we have made for our little one.

All of the teachers and faculty members are caring, genuine, and welcoming. Especially the infant room teachers Ms.Michelle, Ms. Leilani, and Ms. Shantal. They always provide great care for our daughter. I have never seen them irritated or upset. Even when 10 kids start crying at the same time, somehow they manage it!

I also would like to thank the director, Ms. Kiran and Ms. Sheryl for giving me a parent support. Our daughter had a hard time taking a bottle and I was freaking out because I had to go back to work after 3 months of maternity leave. Stepping Stones has been such an amazing experience for both of our kids. We first brought our daughter based on feedback from friends, and she was cared for so well and had such fun that it was a no brainer to send our second one also. The staff has been remarkable, they truely care for the children and we have never felt unsafe or concerned in the slightest. They engage and encourage kids and we have seen obvious growth from both of our kids and that is due to the amazing teachers and staff! Thank you to everyone at Stepping Stones! Stepping Stones Academy has been a really great center for both of my girls. This center gave my oldest the foundation to do well as she transitioned from Jr K to K and beyond. My youngest has acquired a joy for learning and will often ask for her teachers even on the weekends. Ms. Myra, Ms.Michelle and Mr. Jerrick continue to stimulate my daughter curiosity and foster her love of books and reading. The caring and nurturing teachers and staff are helping my daughter develop preschool skills, social skills, and language. I highly recommend Stepping Stones Academy to every parent with young children.

3 months ago, I have enrolled my 4 yr old son to Stepping Stones Academy. Although it hasn’t been long. I have seen great improvement in my son vacabulary and he is able to communicate with us regarding on what he did in school. I also noticed the teachers had been encouraging the kids to drink lots of water. There are so many positive things I could say. I encourage you call Charlotte Maddock, Center Director to give you a tour or ask questions. When I first met Charlotte, she has been so helpful and answered all my questions.
The teachers and aides at Stepping Stones Academy are very professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. The classes and structure is very clean and well-organized.
