Stepping Stones Academy

The hardest part about moving out of state was knowing that our daughter would no longer be attending Stepping Stones. We have attended the Kakaako/Honolulu location since our daughter was 3 months old, and while it was extremely hard to go back to work and leave our child with strangers at first, the teachers and staff quickly put us at ease and treated our daughter like their own. Ms. Christie and Ms. Lei are wonderful in the infant room, and they took such good care of her. They also helped her with some big milestones. When she moved up to the toddler room, Ms. Sheryl and her other teachers were welcoming and supportive, and our daughter learned a lot. Most recently, she was in the explorer's classroom (2.5 years old), and she loved Ms. Sara, Ms. Ellie, and Ms. Amber, and I feel like she learned something new every day. Both of my kids were enrolled here on two separate times when they were under pre-k age, they loved it as much as we did! Very supportive staff and super easy to work with. They always accommodated our needs and worked with our schedules perfectly. Communication was always great and never left us in the dark with anything, from tuition all the way down to our child’s daily activities. We were so sad to leave and watch our kids grow out of their program. Stepping stones waipahu will always be my go-to.

This is the first day care center my 1 year old son went to and he absolutely loved it. The director, Julie really helped us through the process and always checked in on us. His teacher Ms. Myracle and her team were always great at communicating with us on his progress and really made us feel that our son was in good hands. Some classes were better at keeping us updated in the app (photos, nap times, food eaten, activities, etc.) than others but all around a good experience for our ohana.

My son started Stepping Stones Aiea when he is 2 when we moved to Hawaii. He loves all the teachers and helpers at school and made some great friends there. He has learnt so much from potty training, fun information on his daily life to arts and crafts. We were very lucky to have fantastic teachers in classes, Ms. Jessica, Ms Jamie, Ms Mpila and Ms Michelle are fabulous with kids. They nurtured him and provided a safe and fun space for him to explore. Thank you again and Stepping Stones Aiea is highly recommended.

Both our children attended Stepping Stones Waipahu from when they were little until they graduated. They both loved it. I can’t thank the staff enough for helping our children grow. Ms. Melissa who has been with them both since the beginning is amazing. So grateful she was able to be their teacher, then becoming admin and always being there for us if we had any concerns. Ms. Flo & Ms. Velaxis worked so well with helping both my children before they headed off to Kindergarten. Ms. Charlotte who helped us from the beginning and helping us get our children started in the school. We are so thankful for the wonderful experience the past 5 years and the amazing staff!

I had two children to attend this center from age about 7 months to 2 years old!! We are a military family and I would not choose any other center but Stepping stones for my children to attend. They taught my boys a lot and had an abundance of daily activities along with pictures and text of how my children were doing through the day or week. Tyelan loved his teachers a lot and I could tell his teachers love and will miss him. Unfortunately due to military rules my older son wasn’t able to attend long but when he did attend he enjoyed. I really hated changing him from this school.. Overall this daycare is great. Children learn a lot teacher communicated well.

The personal attention each child receives is truly remarkable. It’s evident that every staff member is dedicated to nurturing and supporting the little ones, making them feel valued and loved. The cleanliness of the facility is also commendable; it creates a safe and welcoming environment that puts parents like me at ease.

Stepping Stones Waipahu was a great facility for my son. He transitioned from toddlers, explorers, to preschool and I loved every primary teacher he had in each class. All 3 were very attentive to him and his needs, were quick to communicate if there were any issues, and actively listened if I ever had a concern regarding his growth and development. They differ from previous daycares we’ve been at with our older child in that they truly follow age appropriate, structured curriculum with supervised play as needed for the age group. The app was a huge bonus - it was great being able to openly communicate with his teachers via chat, see where they were on the schedule, and look at the pictures they took each day. Would definitely recommend.

We are incredibly grateful to the Stepping Stones ohana for nurturing our daughter for the past 2.5 years. We have seen her grow deep and loving attachments to her teachers in every classroom, which is a true testament to the commitment of the staff.
