Stepping Stones Academy

My son has loved his time at Stepping Stones! He’s been there over a year now and loves going to school. All of the staff is wonderful - my son loves his teachers and everyone has extremely helpful on my end! Such a great program, I highly recommend!!

Good place to send your kids. While there are a few things that could be improved, they really care about providing good care for your young ones and they treat them like their own. After having done three different preschools (ish), I'd say Stepping Stones wins the award for best overall.

We found Stepping Stones Academy by accident during a time a lot of other day cares were closed. While our son attended we were very happy with the staff, facility and accommodations as a whole. They are very open about all services and gave ample notice of anything that would change our daily routine on their part. The children were always graciously welcomed with a smile (very apparent even with their masks on). We will miss the Stepping Stones Family!

Stepping Stones Academy is AMAZING! Professional, Clean, and Caring. You will definitely see all the new things your child learns everyday and see them apply it. The academy is very professional and organized. The communication with teachers and Ms. Charlotte is top notch. They really go above and beyond to take care of the kids and parents. When COVID hit, the school took all precautions before it shut down the state, and during covid, it accommodated families that were essential, with peace of mind knowing their kids are safe while upholding the highest standard of cleaning and procedures. As we waited for schools to open up, the school let us participate in circle time in the mornings via zoom, which helped keep a dialog of communication with my child's classmates and teachers as well as keeping my child motivated and still learning and being social. We really enjoyed our time at Steeping Stones Waipahu. The Staff was more than helpful and very kind to my son, they treated us like family! My son cried all the way home on his last day 😢. We highly recommend the academy to anybody looking for a pre-k school.

Stepping Stones Academy has been an amazing experience for our family. Our 4 year old started last year and Ms. Ruby and Ms. Charlotte have constantly delivered above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience for our son. Ms. Ruby and Ms. Charlotte always flexed with our child’s needs and provided both structure and discipline but delivered in a loving and safe manner. We are so impressed. We highly recommend Stepping Stones Waipahu to families looking for a caring, reliable, and safe environment for their child.

I feel very fortunate to have had both my kids at stepping Stones. Both of my children started at stepping Stones at 9 months and spent most of their time there until kindergarten. The teachers are more then employees, they are like ohana and aunties. They care for our children so much and give them the very best as if they were their own. I feel safe with my children at stepping Stones. I know they're in an environment that will make them Excel and learn because they are loved and cared for. I'm grateful for them helping raise my children to be good people.

I loved Steppingstones because they’re hours of operations was helpful because as essential worker parents our nursing hours varied but it worked so well with the school schedule. The teachers were wonderful. I appreciated lunch bunch because it helped our busy schedule & they provided nutritional food & snacks and milk.

When our son first started with Alma we thought he would be too much of a handful but he actually did so well. Thank you Alma for being fun and adaptable. I appreciate that he was pottie trained in school in collaboration because it would’ve been difficult just on our own.
