Out of all FIVE daycare/preschools my children have been to over the years, SSA was the best. As a working mom, I always felt uncomfortable and sad dropping my children off for others to care for. I felt guilty leaving them for so many hours a day. I knew this school was different the moment I dropped my baby off. They adored my child as a mother would, they hugged her and showed her SO MUCH LOVE! I never had to worry any more while I was at work. Most importantly, at this school I NEVER had to worry about my child's safety. This school was spectacular during the pandemic, and continued to stay open so parents like me could continue to work and provide for the community. We cannot recommend Stepping Stones Honolulu enough to parents in search of the best daycare on island! They went above and beyond in helping us when we got into a childcare bind and we definitely feel so blessed to have been part of their ohana. Our son has been reaching development milestones so fast ever since he started attending their daycare and the teachers have been nothing short of wonderful. Stepping Stones Academy Aiea was a great fit for our family. The center allowed a lot of flexibility for our family’s needs. With our son being autistic, it was important that he spend part of the day away for special needs services, but he was welcomed to join in later in the day. Management also listened and addressed concerns right away, so we were always reassured that our son was in a very safe environment. All the staff and teachers we encountered treated our son very well, and he really thrived during his time there.

Firstly, sending your 3 month old infant to daycare can be a very nerve wrecking experience especially for a new mom. SSA exceeded all of our expectations and is fully equipped with loving, responsible staff members and an excellent management team. The facility has ample space and is always very clean. At first we were disappointed that there was no outdoor playground, but honestly 2 years later we realized that it is honestly the safest, cleanest environment given the school is located just outside of kakaako, which is so very convenient, yet still an urban city, and honestly their facility is much bigger than many other schools. Also equipped with a full indoor playground. There’s also a reason they don’t have a high turn around in employees, I believe it’s because they are genuinely happy & love their jobs & the children. My daughter has been attending Stepping Stones - Honolulu since she was two years old, and now she is moving on to Kindergarten this Fall. It has been such a pleasure for us to see how she has grown in all aspects over the past 3 years - cognitive, social emotional, and language and literacy. We truly and wholeheartedly appreciated the tremendous amount of time, efforts and thoughtfulness the teachers have devoted to the children. We love Ms. V. and Ms. Anca, who are both great teachers, teaching with their heart and soul. We liked the well-planned, themed curriculum, which the kids could always relate to, and at the same time, offers enough flexibility that addressed children's emerging needs. We are thankful to all the staff and teachers at Stepping Stones Academy. The support, love, and aloha they showed my child was truly special. They helped guide my child through their early years from infant to preschool. I appreciated the classroom teachers' efforts in sending messages and posting daily reports and photos on my child's progress and overall classroom activities. My child showed interest in music and dance early on and it was great to see Stepping Stones Academy bringing in a music teacher every week. There were also teachers in the classroom that could sing and play musical instruments to the children. I saw my child's growth every month and it was heartwarming to see all the new things my child learned from this school over time. I sent my oldest son to Stepping Stones over 15 years ago when they first opened, and now have continued to send my youngest there now! Great teachers, staff, facilities, and environment. Stepping Stones Academy is place where my baby started her adventure. The teachers and staff did an excellent job helping my baby transit to a new environment where she was cared for and loved. She has grown and learned tremendously and has make many friends at the daycare. Teachers accompanied her during her journey and taught her eating independently, singing, dancing, and painting (her favorite). We as parents feel safe and involved sending her to SSA. Stepping Stones has been like family to us for the last 4 years. My oldest started in the infant class and graduated from the JrK class recently. She loves her teachers, friends, and predictable routines. There’s so many activities that keep her engaged and excited to learn! My youngest is also attending Stepping Stones in the toddler room. At drop off she will often run right in the door to greet her teachers and friends- no tears. The communication is great and I get updates throughout the day with an app so I can see what my kids are up to.
