Siamsa Irish Pub

Went in with my girlfriend for lunch after seeing online that this is one of the must-visit locations in Stroudsburg (we are from out of town). The ambiance of the pub was nice, and our waitress was kind and provided good service. However, the food left a lot to be desired. My girlfriend got the Shepherds Pie and I got the Penne Vodka with grilled chicken. A few bites in, we were both unhappy with our choices. The sauce on the pasta tasted like sauce from a jar, and my girlfriend’s potatoes were pretty grainy, and when I tried them myself, they reminded me of the boxed mashed potatoes my mother made when I was a kid. The meat in the Shepherds Pie was pretty bland, and we didn’t want to eat any more after a few bites, so we promptly left. I would not recommend this restaurant.

This was my 4th time dining at this little pub in East Stroudsburg. Each time we have had excellent experiences. Live music, great food, fair pricing.

Today, we went for my birthday and had Taylor as a server. Despite the staffing shortage the industry is facing, she was a fantastic server. Even though she was managing many responsibilities, she still made us feel a priority.

I recommend this establishment if you are in the area for traditional Irish favorites and pub fare. Read more >
