Siamsa Irish Pub

Siamsa Irish pub is the closest thing you will find to a pub anywhere near stroudsburg.
This place offers real English pub fare, as well as burgers sandwiches and other options.
I have had a few dishes here like Ba gers and mash- Curry chicken and chips- and beef stew were all amazing here. The only reason I'm not giving the food 5 stars is because I ordered potatoe and leak soup the 1st time I are here, and the 2nd time I ordered it, it was completely different than the original (which was actually perfect) Read more >

Classic Irish Pub in downtown Stroudsburg. Walking distance from the Hampton Inn but there was plenty of parking on a Monday night. Large bar with several TVs for watching the game. Several good beers on tap. I chose the Foley Brothers Triple Maiden. Very tasty but it’s 10% so be careful. Good classics on the menu. Shepherds Pie was my choice and it hit the spot. If you’re staying in Stroudsburg you need to hit this spot at least once. Read more >

Nice little pub in the Poconos. They weren't very busy when I was there, so the atmosphere was very chill. Their beer selection wasn't extensive, but there were some interesting brews on the list. 2 stars only because they had guiness and Smith wicks on tap. When vacationing we like to Google Irish pubs. We found this one in the search.
The wife loves Irish onion soup. This was not what she got. This was some kind of watered down broth that ultimately she could only eat the cheese and bread. I tasted it and almost spit it out. Tasted like salty dish water. Bangers and mash that I ordered was no better. If they weren't very unseasoned instant potatoes on the plate, then they were horribly done potatoes. The gravy was a thick substance with no flavor. The bangers... Irish sausage.. overcooked and shriveled up like very small wieners. I am not talking about hot dog variety here.
