I reached out due to positive reviews. They did complete the job as expected and discussed, though, their communication was off from the beginning. The person who came to give an estimate could not answer any questions and said we’d have to talk to James. I called after receiving the estimate and the call center rep was also unable to answer specifics. Their administrative person called me and also couldn’t answer questions because they’d have to talk to James first.

At this point, James should’ve called me and facilitated my questions. I called their number after receiving the estimate and the call center person was also unable to answer specifics. Their administrative person called me and also couldn’t answer questions because they’d have to talk to James first. They never allowed me to talk to James for clarity. I was not convinced to book them for the entire job (gutter cleaning, gutter guard removal, new gutter guard installation) due to this ongoing confusion. We booked them for gutter guard removal only, which was $350 (expensive!) but we were desperate to remove the poorly installed guards. The arrival window was 9a-1p, I text asking about an ETA at 12:20pm, which was how I learned they were delayed and would arrive at 2pm...

I’m giving a two-star review because I’m not confident the gutters — especially the downspouts — were thoroughly cleaned. From what I saw, the crew mainly used a blower to clear them out. The issue is, if a downspout hasn’t been cleaned in five or six years, simply blowing air through it doesn’t guarantee that the buildup is removed. Just because it sounds hollow at the bottom doesn’t mean the clog is truly gone — especially on a three-story house like mine. Anyone can use a blower, but that doesn’t mean the job was done properly. For $200, I expected a more thorough service, and based on what I saw, I don’t feel that it was worth the price.

I'm very pleased with the gutter cleaning service provide by Shelter Guard. Melvin arrived early, was very professional and friendly. He did a thorough job of explaining what he did and I was provided "before and after" photos. There was a little debris left around my home, but not so much that it bothered me. I did not hesitate to book my next appointment and I highly recommend this gutter cleaning company.
