Fees! $100 move-in fee but you have to pick up your keys from a lockbox and do your own walkthrough, so I guess it’s paying them to clean? Idk why that isn’t their jobs. $10 to pay rent by check. $2.49 to pay online. They call contractors for everything, you’ll never meet any of them. If you like flying Spirit Airlines, you'll love SCUDO, because they charge junk fees for EVERYTHING. Nice people, but you have to pay a fee to access their online portal to pay your rent (it’s a “resident benefit”), and then no matter what method you pay by, you have to pay ANOTHER fee. Even an ACH transaction. And if you want to pay with a physical cheque, it's a $10 fee to do that! Be sure to add $50 a month to what the advertised rent is, because it'll be at least that much after they nickel and dime you just to do their jobs. Posted under a pseudonym because the lease has several clauses about evicting tenants if you're mean to them.

Scudo fell into my lap a year ago when a coworker needed to move, and I took over the house. They made the process very painless and simple. This year I chose to renew because I love where we live and it is very easy to contact and communicate with the office and property managers. The inspections are painless, and they give you ample time to have anything completed. I have also had no issues.with maintenance and if I ever needed anything Maria has been amazing and very communicative. SCUDO is definitely the way to go! Read more >
