RTD Ice Dam Removal

Prompt service and did cleaned ice off my roof well.
Competitive rates with other reputable companies in the area.
Stars knocked off for gutter and shingle damage.
My roof is only 3 years old and upper granule layer was damaged past the black asphalt layer in several areas.
Aluminum gutters gouged/dented and powder coating scratched in some areas.

The guys were good. The hourly rate was really high. Had a miscommunication regarding the salt in socks on the roof that were not removed before the water got on them and all the salt went down the roof. Disappointed on that one.

There was confusion, I expected that the crew would get on the roof and clean it off. I had asked that the back part of my roof be cleaned, i meant all the roof, not just roof raking. When the gal talked about the kind of rakes they use, I did wonder, but thought it was to make it easier to go onto the roof. Also I think it was Frank raked to the side of the roof , now down at one point. when I asked about it, he said he was only getting the top part. I have since found a piece of shingle on the ground. I has said that they needed to use the standoffs, they had none. when they came, I was going to be out of town next week and felt I had no choice about getting my roof done.

First time I've ever had to have this done. Happy they could come out so quickly. But was very surprised that for my small house, it took four hours! The guys were nice, but they did throw the ice chunks directly down next to the house and in some cases on top of shrubs -- resulting in busting them all up! My stone lantern was also piled on with snow and ice and that too resulted in tipping the "wired" structure over. Hopefully will not need repair! I was laid up with illness and a bad back, so needed to have done, but going forward will do better with keeping the front walk cleared so I can clear the roof area better by myself.

Arrived the day I called, kept at the ice removal until it was all gone. Did this critical work in cold, windy, and dark conditions. Saved my ceilings from more water damage.

The good: RTD came when they said they would and were able to arrive within 2 days to deal with our ice dams.

The BAD: Extremely high prices and then being overcharged when I specifically limited them to 3 hours. They arrived and their equipment didn't work. They had to leave and go get a different steam machine. They didn't get much done in the 3 hours allotted. I would not hire this company in the future.

RTD was quick to respond to my need. The service was excellent from the first call to the ice dam removal. They were out within a day, fast, polite and removed the ice dam quickly.

Overpriced, and they broke a deck chair. $1153 do about an hour and a half of work. Ripoff

I am a customer of yours, I've had you refinish my deck several times. When I had a ice dam problem I thought of you and called. You were able to send a team that afternoon which I couldn't expect any better service. The guys were professional and friendly and took care of my problem. Now the bad part, I feel that the per hour charge of $525.00 was a little out of line. With ice dam problems people are in a panic so they will pay anything but that is taking advantage of the situation. I have talked to other people since and they were paying in the neighborhood of $350.00 per hour. You asked and that's how I feel. - Bill Mueller
