RTD Ice Dam Removal

I was very pleased with how quickly RTD was able to come out to my place for the ice dam removal. My only complaint was that during the ice dam removal they did tear some of the shingles which I didn't think was supposed to happen with the steaming method.

This is a 'desperation' business, where I bypassed the usual method of asking a lot of questions and knowing ahead of time what to expect and making known what my expectations are. I had what I thought was a critical problem and you folks could get here before others. It helped that you have a professional website and cited past work. Your prices are at least a third higher than the competition I found, which already was 'over a barrel' high. Still, I agreed. Your team of two showed up, on time, and asked what I wanted done. It was clear they had no previous info on my situation. When I told them I wanted both front and back done they suggested strongly that it would take app. 3 hours, putting me in the mindset that my problem would be solved for app. $1800. Our experience with RDT was positive overall. The response time was incredibly fast. The customer service person we dealt with was helpful and informative about the process. My only comment would be for the staff removing the ice to be more careful about where those large icicles land once they come down. My husband had to bring out pieces of plywood to protect our AC unit and plantings/trees near the home. Considering how expensive the service is, it would have been great for RDT to bring their own and be careful of folks property.

I called in the morning and RTD was out that Sam afternoon. Brendan, the RTD employee did an exellent job, was courteous and diligent in removing the ice dam. He had to return the next morning to tackle the dam on the west side of the building. He was on time and brought an assistant the facilitate an efficient removal. I would highly recommend RTD Ice Dam Removal.

After a flood of water soaked my bedroom, I got serious about my ice dams. It was too late to do anything preventative, so I had to resort to steam. RTD was expensive, yes. But also professional. Quite simply: they put did exactly what they said and did it well. Saved my neck.

Excellent service (if not a trifle expensive) but certainly professional people who can help with ice-dams in an emergency.

We received the service in two parts. The lead person who came first would not go on the porch roof in order to reach the second floor roof and so a second crew came a few days later to finish the job. Your price per hour is extremely high. Hard to believe the increase since we used your company in 2004 for the same service. Hope we never need this service again.

I was very grateful for the quick response on your part and relieved to get rid of the ice dams, but very disappointed when the the snow melted enough to walk around my house. I think the workers damaged the siding on the south side of my house and didn’t say anything to me.
