My wife has immigrated to the US for about a month and is still waiting for her green card and SSN. We were really frustrated to find a doctor when we found out my wife was pregnant because this medical system here in the US is so complicated. We did come to an urgent care and were charged $500 to confirm that my wife was pregnant. It cost that much because my wife did not have insurance. But how can she have insurance when she has not received any paperwork or documents. There is a loop, and we were stuck there for a week.
