After being promised a quick and easy closing, this company sent me a 6 month contract to buy my land. I negotiated down to 3 months for due diligence (still very slow for vacant land). After they said the due diligence was complete, they gave me a ~15% lower offer that I signed and agreed to, and then they didn't contact me at all for months and wouldn't respond to any calls, texts, or emails. 3 days before closing, they finally emailed to back out of the deal because they couldn't secure funding in time. I offered more time and they said that would get back to me ASAP and then stopped answering all calls, texts, and emails. They should at least have the integrity and honesty to answer the phone and give a real reason or at least closure that the deal is over.
