I made my appointment with a hope of helping alleviate some back pain. Not only did my back pain get addressed, but the thumb pain from my CMC joint subluxation was addressed as well. After only a couple treatments the pain from both are significantly improved. The thumb was such a bonus! Dr. Shu went right to work on it even though I had not brought it up as an issue to be addressed. I thought I’d be in a thumb splint forever but I haven’t used it since after the second treatment! I came to New Hope after many years of dealing with chronic nausea, stomach pain, and digestive issues that my other doctors diagnosed as IBS. My tests were all normal and medication was not helping, so I decided to try acupuncture and I'm glad I did!

I have had two massage sessions with Jean to help with my TMJ, neck, and back pain. So far I have experienced relief from a TMJ migraine and a big emotional release by freeing up tension in my spine. If you are experiencing pain and a normal massage does not help I highly recommend Jean. He is highly educated, has many years experience.

I have limited elbow extension and stiffness after my sporty activity. I experienced the pain and was not able to do my daily routine for three days and didn't see any improvement. I visited the clinic , Dr. Shu was incredibly professional and patient during the examination, and she took the time to check my elbow mobility when I brought it up. The acupuncture treatments made my elbow mobility improved after every treatment.  Only several treatments I have almost recovered my mobility (90%) and back to my daily routines.Both Dr. Shu and the staff were extremely attentive and conscientious. Jean is an incredibly professional therapist, honestly one of the best I’ve met in the Greater Boston area. During the treatment, he constantly checked in to understand my needs and pain points. He helped release the extreme tightness in my shoulders and neck, and even helped relieve my acid reflux symptoms. Highly recommend! Most importantly, Jean is also a very funny and humorous person hahaha.

I’ve had about five sessions with Dr. Shu now and it’s been a very positive experience. I initially went in for lower back pain and neck tightness and I’ve noticed a steady improvement in both areas.
