Lotus is a great place! It was our child's first time in a rehab facility, so we have nothing to compare to, but he had a good experience. They do group sessions two times a day, and individual therapy once a week (but could be more as needed I think). Family therapy too. It was an emotional experience sending our child there, but we did feel he was safe there and well taken care of. They do have quite a bit of free time(of course a bht/therapist/admin always present), for good or for bad. I know they are encouraged to use it well. They have around 1 arranged activity every day, like dog therapy 🥰, yoga, and music lessons (my child loved this part), horse therapy field trips etc. Your kid will beg you to bring them home but stay strong, they will learn a lot there even if they say they want to come home and don't like it. In that vein, I don’t think you can truly understand Lotus until you know its leader and Executive Director, Gary Hazy. I worked with Gary for eight years and have known him for ten years. During that time, I have personally experienced Gary to be kind and compassionate while also being a tenacious leader. When it comes to doing what is right and best for kids, Gary has high expectations for himself and his staff. He does not accept excuses but is also there to support you every step of the way.

As a volunteer for lotus , I can not say enough about the commitment and dedication of all the volunteers and employees of this non profit organization in pursuit of their mission .In 2023 alone nearly 100 children between the ages of 12 to 17 were treated for addiction to deadly substances and saved from self destruction . In this year nearly 500 thousand dollars of free or subsidized care was provided by this group to disadvantaged families desperately seeking treatment for their children . I am proud to volunteer my time and participate in this wonderful non profit organization

Lotus Behavorial Health has changed the lives of many adolescents in positive ways. I have seen families who did not know where to turn that have chosen Lotus to take the wheel and intervene when they thought they have tried everything to help their child. Families have stated that they are so grateful that Lotus could turn the lives of their child back around and they can start to live again with a new look on life without the use of substances.

Our family couldn't be more grateful to Lotus Behavioral Health for the support and care they gave us during a challenging time. My child felt encouraged and heard during her counseling sessions and developed strong bonds with so many staff members. From one mom to another, I felt that I made the right choice with Lotus. I never worried for one moment about the safety of my child or the integrity of Lotus.
