I began researching this exact facility with Dr. Jalil Illan and scheduled my surgery for December 5, 2022. I was so anxious for so many reasons, but they made it the best process possible. Every single person staffed with Hospital BC was genuine and helpful. I landed in San Diego and was picked up from the airport by Roberto, who was so nice. We drove into Tijuana and checked into the hotel which was very nice! We went to eat at Caesars and I was able to have the French onion soup, they customized for broth only, and it was SO delicious! The following day I woke up early and prepared to go to the hospital. My mom and I were picked up by a transportation van and taken to the hospital. The check in process began immediately. Beto and the staff took really great care of me. The staff checked in on me multiple times post surgery and made sure I was ok. The nurses were very kind and hospitable. The doctor and anesthesiologist explained everything to me pre surgery and I was not afraid. Everything was very well done.

Chose Hospital BC for my sleeve gastrectomy. Communication with the coordinator and transportation folks went very smoothly. I knew exactly what to expect at each step of the way. Hotel was good. (Their broth is DELICIOUS). Once at the hospital, the check in and pretesting process was quick and easy. Only hiccup was getting my IV started. Not really their fault. Anxiety, dehydration, and my own poor veins were not a good combo. So, it had to be started in the OR. No big deal. Dr. Illan and Dr. Curiel were both amazing. Made me feel completely safe and taken care of. Beto and Fred are the real MVP's. Whatever you need, they will get for you. Questions? They have the answers. Great experience. Hoping to return for plastics in a couple of years!

At first, I was hesitant about the idea of getting bariatric surgery in Mexico. Wonderful experience at Hospital BC. Dr Jalil is very professional and has wonderful bedside manner. His team is absolutely amazing, from the nurses, to the valets (Fred and Beto), the coordinator (Carrie) and even the cleaning crew. Everyone was so kind and caring and really made me feel at ease and well taken care of. This procedure has been a lot easier than I thought it would be and I can’t wait to start seeing the results!

My brother and I traveled from WV to Hospital B.C. for his gastric sleeve procedure. This was an experience that made us both very nervous. Our fears and anxieties were eased from the first contact. Every member of the staff has been welcoming and reassuring. There has been no concern of a language barrier as there is ALWAYS someone nearby to translate. Betro and Fred were eager to go above and beyond to make sure we were both comfortable. My brother’s health was the number one priority and it was obvious from the attentive care he consistently received. I would recommend Hospital BC to anyone seeking bariatric care. They truly are a Center for Excellence.

I would definitely recommend anyone to come and get any procedure they need at Hospital BC. The whole staff was amazing, from the hotel staff, Eduardo as our Cordinador, Flor as our nutritionist, Sal, Fred, Beto, Robert and all the drivers, all the nurses and doctors, to the hospital cafeteria staff, that made my wife and I feel right at home and like family. Dr. Curiel, the anesthesiologist was so nice and professional, who made me feel at ease. Dr. Ilan was very friendly too.
