Recently I officially joined the family business, Homefinders, Plus... as a realtor. I contacted Knight for an estimate to get vinyl plank installed throughout my living room, hallways, and master bedroom to replace the old carpet. One of the first questions I asked was if the floor had to be leveled and the general manager, Dan, told me floor leveling and prep was part of the basic install cost. He assured me more than once that the floors would be installed properly in accordance with what the manufacturer recommends. When they “finished” my floors I could immediately tell something was wrong. When I stepped on the floor it would flex and make a “click” sound against the concrete subfloor and was very obvious something was wrong. When I asked about it he lied and said that was normal and there was “no such thing as a level floor.” After doing some research of my own and calling the floor manufacturer, I found that the proper floor prep was not done and they did not...
