I've lived in Carolina Creek for about three years now. The first year, I had to threaten legal action for them to fix a leak in my roof that turned out to be rotted wood around the boot pipe in the roof. I still find evidence of water damage from other leaks that they refused to fix when they finally hired an actual roofing company to fix the first leak. There is a tarp on my roof that has been there the entire time I've lived there. All maintenance does for the water damage is to cover it up with paint.
I've now gone about two months without a working dryer. We asked for a replacement, and after a month we got the one from the vacant unit next door. That one doesn't work either. We asked for a new one, and were told that there are no more dryers or washers in the vacant units because the majority of the washers and dryers on the property are starting to not work. Shelley Peterson, owner of Carolina Creek apartments, played in my face Monday (12/09/2024) when I went into the Carolina Creek office and privately spoke with her. I told her I have been reaching out to CC management for WEEKS about situations going on at my apartment that haven't been resolved. I tried to explain that little to nothing has been done about our issues other than my own suggestions to resolve them, and that management will not come by the apartment to resolve anything; they continuously brush me off. However, Shelley rushed our conversation and made excuses for the CC management. She gave me her business card and circled a number that couldn't receive texts, then told me to text her so she could stop by my apartment to resolve everything personally. My S/O worked with Corey and his team closely for a long time, they failed to provide her with the necessary resources to keep her property up to code as well as the support and training to properly handle Tennant situations and court matters. Here are some of the photos of her dilapidated property because of the refusal of upper management to supply her with adequate resources, vendors, or trained maintenance personnel. If you value your money, I recommend finding a company that values the quality of their investments.

Slumlords. An apartment filled with mold, the air conditioning broken throughout the summer, sinks that won’t drain, a microwave that is disgusting, filthy living conditions, and management that will not return phone calls, reply to emails or attend the meetings they have agreed to attend. Their apartment should be condemned.

In short…the people who run these properties are simply not good people. DO NOT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS YOUR MONEY.
