Iowa Pointing Lab

Iowa Pointing Labs has blood lines that are incredible. My first Gauge, 3yrs out of Kellogg Point Doctor Red Max is as solid a hunter as a dog comes. So I got another Jax, 1 yr old out of Super Grits to see if Gauge was just a rare dog. Nope Jax is another great hunter. My friend tell me my IPL labs are some of the best hunting dogs they’ve hunted over. I agree. Thank you Tim and IPL!

Iowa Point Labs have great bloodlines. My Knox has a great on and off switch. He has a strong desire to retrieve and please but can be calm in the house. Absolute great dog!

What words are applicable for Copper? Extreme hunting drive and desire, affectionate indoor pet, exceptional bird-sensitive nose, loving companion, excellent at retrieving, a want-to-be with you dog (don’t get in that truck without me!), a pointing dog (I didn’t really believe a lab would point when I got him but he does without a doubt — pheasants and quail right off his nose following my step in after his point), regular “check-in, look-back” to me/hunter (even in heavy cover), hunts birds dead (and finds them) even when he has not seen the bird down. I acquired him from Tim in August, when he was fully trained at a little over 2 years old. So I’ve only had him during this 2020 season but he’s a pro, and I will never buy another line of hunting lab. As Filson says: “Might as well have the best.” Blake Rhodes
