Iowa Pointing Lab

Icber and Karissa did a tremendous job with Red a pointing lab. I never seen a dog get excited about wanting his electronic collar on as Red. He listens well, quarter’s nicely and stays close when hunting birds.
His points are rock solid and he holds them until released.
Once retrieving a bird he sits at your side until you put your hand out and say drop it.

Red is only 16 months old and it look’s like he maybe one of my best hunting dogs. I have had dogs all my life and in my 60’s.

My parents got a beautiful red lab from Iowa Pointing Labs at the Harrisburg sportsman show a couple years ago, and she is the most lively, animated, and loving lab they’ve ever had. Because of this, I decided to purchase my black lab from the same breeder. Unfortunately, they did not attend the sportsman show die to the pandemic, so I had to fly to them to pick up my puppy which was DEFINITELY worth it! I spoke with Tim in January, and he told me right off the top of his head which litter would suit me best based on the demeanor I was looking for in a dog as well as the pick up date (because of my job, I needed a summer puppy).

I could not be happier with the training my 1.5 yr old lab received recently at IPL. I was having some problems correcting some bad behaviors that was preventing me from progressing with his field training. While he showed understanding of basic obedience commands to me, he was not consistent in obeying, would not calm down at home, frequently barking, and had recently began showing aggression toward family members, friends and other dogs. Tim took time to discuss my concerns and asked questions to understand what was going on. I took him to IPL for 2 weeks of boarding and training for an assessment on his obedience and aggression. I was amazed as the results. When he returned home after only 2 weeks, I now have an obedient, calm, well behaved, hardworking, and friendly dog that shows great desire to continue to learn and work in the field. My Dad who is not very tech savvy ( so therefore cannot do this himself) just purchased and picked up a pup last week. NO PAPERS were given, he was told that he couldn't have the papers if he did not have a name picked out for the pup yet. Also no receipt of purchase or anything. (Paid cash) Get pup home and it is sicker than sick. Had to take to vet and be put on meds. Meanwhile trying to reach the owner, TIM GALEAZZI who does not answer his phone or respond to messages. So here we are with the sweetest but sickest puppy, and no papers to even register the dog.

Did some research on Mr. Galeazzi who it looks like hasn't had the best track record when it comes to breeding dogs. Just disgusting. I hope someone can see this before he takes it down. Kirby is 11 months old now out of the Martin x Phoebe litter. He has been fantastic and has been pointing birds since he was about 5 months old or so. Recently he has started picking up speed in the field and it’s a lot of fun to watch him go from a full sprint to slamming on point. This is my first bird dog and am doing all the training myself and he’s been very easy to work with. Thanks again IPL!

Icber & Karissa were great to work with! Icber answered all my questions, even after I picked up our pup, Basilone. He was quick to answer texts, even if outside normal business hours when I wasn't expecting a response. I look forward to sending him back for training once he's about 6 months old.

Just got back from picking up Emma.Was very pleased with the early training conducted at Iowa Pointing Labs.She has already experienced bird retrieving,early obedience and shotgun awareness at 16 weeks.
Looking forward to having her become the newest member of our hunting family.
