My family and I did extensive research on Labs and are extremely pleased with Tim & everyone at Iowa Pointing Labs. Tim worked with me one on one through the selection process. I decided to go with the early start program as I will be using my dog for hunting. The program is great she is extremely smart and will continue the work Tim has started. Again we are very pleased and cannot say enough about Tim and his great dogs.

Adele just turned one year old and I am very happy with my decision to buy a dog from a reputable breeder. First off the people I worked with through the whole process at IPL were just great, down to earth people. Tim made sure I got the dog that would fit my needs the best. After bringing Adele home I decided to send her back and have Jay professionally train her since this was my first hunting dog and I knew she had so much potential. As a young puppy, Adele quickly showed an interest in birds. It is crazy to see a dog get so excited and I've never seen this with any other lab. She is very high strung but can also relax very well too and watch t.v. with you or as soon as lights go out at night she's asleep. Purchased a pup that just finished the head start program from IPL near the holidays and I have to say words cannot express how fascinated I am of my pup. From day one bring him home, I could tell the head start program that was discussed to me was everything and more than I could expect. I immediately began further training on my own and its amazing how fast this pup learns. Before he was 5 months old I had this pup trained on all my own household and obedience commands, whistle commands, hand signals, finding and retrieving cold game, finding live pigeons in cover, shooting 12 gauge over his heading dropping pigeons and retrieving them. When he was barely 5 months old I furthered his his training with a game farm hunt starting with 5 chukars. This boy found all 5 birds, i shot all 5 birds, and he retrieved all 5 birds!!!! He's now 6 months old and is retrieving roosters no problem....

I have known Tim for a lot of years and every time I call he is always willing to help! He puts the customer with the right dog/litter and always makes sure that the customer is happy. All of his dogs are well taken care of and of course the breeding, exceptional! His breeding and training program can speak for itself!

On December 21st, 2017, my wife and I put our beloved friend and companion “Pedro” down at the seasoned age of 14. Having twins of our own on the way and emotions already high, we weren’t going to have that void hanging in our house for long, so I set out that day to visit Tim and his family at Iowa Pointing Labs. Well-versed in the challenge of putting down a dog, Tim and his family welcomed me with open arms, figuratively and literally, and with zero-pressure to purchase a puppy.

That said, I wasn’t leaving empty-handed, and following a three-hour car ride home with 12 and 16 week old puppies free of a whine, whimper, or audible complaint in any form, my wife was greeted by “Bear”, a gorgeous little blonde boy sired by Tex, and “Scout”, his Red-Fox of a girlfriend, sired by Kodiak.

Tim at Iowa Pointing Labs was great to work with. We purchased our first lab from him. After we had the puppy home from his head start program we could tell that IPL had an outstanding program. Initially I had problems with training. Tim called back in a timely manner and gave me pointers to overcome my challenge. Puppy was healthy and has grown very well. We have now purchased two labs from him.

I would recommend you talk to Tim before buying your next lab or pointing lab.

I know there a lot of people from the trainers to the kennel hand that helped to shape her into the perfect puppy for us! Tim was a great help in the process of picking the perfect puppy for us!!! I recommend iowa point labs because since I called tim it is an excellent person I was impressed when I arrived and they showed me several puppies I could see that they had three dog trainers they gave me 26 months of warranty and 30 years of experience. The most impressive champion dogs they showed me like tex, roman and martin did a fabulous job.
