My wife and I wanted the best Labrador companion for our family. We're active and had full intent to travel with our Lab. We searched many websites prior to finding a photo of 4XGMPR APR CP JH SH HR Iowa Pointing Labs Roman on the web, with a little more research we located the IPL website, from there we reached out to Tim. He knew so much about his dogs and was able to match the perfect puppy (Roman X Toshia 2nd litter) to our home. We couldn't be more pleased with our entire experience. My girlfriend and I moved to Iowa about a month ago and we went to Iowa pointing labs. When we first got there we met Wes who you could straight away tell loved animals. He was very knowledgeable and cared very deeply about the health and well-being of all the dogs. We then met Tim who you could tell was very legitimate. My family breads and raises Britney Spaniels so as someone who has bred dogs and been apart of that world I would highly recommend you check this place out. There is a wealth of knowledge shared between the trainers, the vet technician, and the owner Tim. I was very pleased with the process of their head start program. I now have a wonderful chocolate lab that will be hunting in no time. If you want a lab, this is the place to get them from. We want to thank Tim and his team for their professionalism, knowledge and support in selecting our chocolate lab, Bella, from Iowa Pointjng Labs. Bella completed head start with them and I would recommend it if you want to get a jump on your puppy’s training.

We are completing Bella’s training in MN but the trainers are impressed with her abilities, pedigree and her intelligence.

She has such a great demeanor that we are constantly asked where we purchased her. I would recommend Tim and Iowa Pointing Labs, great people that care.

Tim and his team could not have been more accommodating. He personally spent an hour with us going through training upon pick-up. Our chocolate lab puppy, Scarlett, is brilliant and sweet. Although we passed on the signature Head Start program, Scarlett was taking commands very well within days of getting her home. We plan to be back in the next year or two for my in-laws’ next chocolate lab.

We just brought home a new puppy from Iowa Pointing Labs. She completed their head start program. They did a great job with her. She sits on command, fetches like a champ, and easily goes to kennel. She is also very well behaved and never barks. They sent me pictures of her every week while going through the program to keep me excited. Wes also was in contact with me several times to inform me of her progress and prepare me for pick up day. I feel like they did a great job of both getting her ready to come home and also had everything ready for me when the time came. Thanks for everything. Can’t wait for all the memories to come!

Was looking for a lab pup for duck hunting in the future. Found Iowa pointing labs and they have been with me every step of the way. From the start they helped me pick out the right dog and will continue to help training in the future. Just got the pup two days ago and is already listening and I’d say almost potty trained at this point. The head start program really helped. Excited to see how he does in the duck boat!

Stop taking down your reviews if it isn’t 5 starts! Tim has turned this into a puppy mill. Had no trainers for a few months now has 1. And a vet tech that is really nice but has no training. Went to check in on a pup being trained there he was covered in feces and no longer knew his own name. In fact the trainer and vet tech didn’t know the pups name either. There excuse, “we have over 100 puppies on the ground and I don’t know how many we are supposed to be training! We can’t take care of them all.” Orvis no longer has IPL listed on their site! Instead of bad mouthing all the other trainers and breeders out there Tim, you should do what’s right for the dogs and the breed and stop breeding! You should be ashamed of yourself sir. Broke my heart seeing the conditions these dogs were living in.

Just got my three month old pup home today. From start to finish, this has been a wonderful experience and that is due to the professionalism, patience and honesty of the people at Iowa Pointing Labs. They are there from the beginning of the process to answer questions, give guidance and match the right dog to the right owner. I took advantage of the head start training program that is offered at Iowa Pointing Labs, and am glad I did. Tim, Luke and Wes were great to work with, and I couldn't be happier, or more satisfied with having gone with Iowa Pointing Labs. Thanks to you all.
