In May we had a water leak on the line to an icemaker that resulted in flooding in parts of four rooms. Hanover Insurance Company, our insurer, recommended I turn the problem over to HSS and we did. We left for the summer at our summer residence and returned in September to find all the first floor hardwood floors, which were significantly damaged by the flooding, refinished, damage to a wall perfectly repaired, all woodwork repainted so the repaired area matched the rest of the house, etc.. This required the moving of all our first floor furniture to the second floor while the work was done, etc. HSS and their man Ryan Washburn could not have done a better, more professional job for us. I'm definitely not in the remodel or construction industry. Taking on a bathroom remodel overwhelmed my senses. I found good reviews on Harper Special Services online and gave them a shot. Ryan was very prompt (early) to our first meeting. He let me know that this would be an insurance claim because of a rotting floor. We ended up not just doing the bathroom, but, also replacing all of the floors on the first floor. The crew came on time every day and were all professional and courteous. The finished project was even nicer than I envisioned. The tile work is 5 star. The new shower is beyond luxurious. The floors throughout are perfect! This is a fantastic company to do business with. We needed to replace our back yard deck and wanted to use a product called Trex for long life and little maintenance. We placed a call to HSS and had a call back the very next day as well as a visit. We got our estimation and sample of board colors within a week and the project was completed within 3 weeks.
It was a rather small project, but we now have a company that we know we can call on to keep our home well maintained. We will be happy to call on them when the bigger remodeling projects come around as well. Read more >
