God Chosen Development Center Decatur

I was interested in this daycare for my 4-month-old because it reminded me so much of my grandmother’s daycare where I grew up in Chicago. I am still in touch with kids that attended 25+ years later. That’s what I want for my dear boy. The owner’s story is similar to my grandmother’s as well. God gave them a calling and they’re humbly blessed by God to serve his purpose. Ms. Zalia is his favorite teacher and I can see why. She nurtures and cherishes not only my son, but every child in her care as if they’re her own. Ms. Nicole gives that at-home-daycare vibe that we desire for our children to make it a safe and humble environment for them to manifest. You get what you pay for. As long as you understand what you are getting, then this place may be fine. The center seems more like a daycare. The kids watch TV everyday, maybe all day and we had a hard time being consistent with potty training so we kind of gave up and went back to diapers while we waited on our preferred center. I also found it very frustrating that a daycare would close on days most people have to work.

We ended up here because we couldn't find a learning center with space available. We are grateful for the center, but it doesn't meet our expectations of a learning center. This would be a 3.5 star if they focused better on learning development.

Absolutely no empathy or understanding from director. We are new parents and trying to get the hang of things. It hasn’t been easy and she made things worse for us. She’s constantly worried about numbers. Your child will only be a number and nothing more there. Teachers couldn’t even remember my child’s name.
Turnover is HIGH at this place I would highly suggest running the other way.

Response to owner-
You counted how many children were inside the infant room and told my husband that there’s no room for him. Then what the heck did we pay a deposit and tuition for us to secure his spot in the infant room? I do not recall being late just the one time which was yesterday on April 12th.
To clarify you comment- My husband walked in at 9:32am your cut off time is 9:30. Again, we are new parents, with God in the title of your daycare have some grace upon us....

Update Update , we still love it here❤️❤️❤️ From the academics all the way down to something simple as the weekly menu . I love all the teachers and how patient they are. My Son love Ms.T , Still ! As a parent I feel as if I made the perfect decision for my son Pre-k class . I am extremely grateful for the director who is caring & answer a lot of my questions no matter how simple they may be at times . God Chosen will be the school to remember once he graduates.

My daughter has been attending the center for the past 3 months. From day 1 we have felt so welcomed!! My daughter is a yr old and her teachers are amazing she has learned 5 new worlds and also started walking I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you sending your kids to God Chosen Development Center

So far so good! My 3 month old daughter just started going here at the beginning of the month. Her teachers seem very caring and attentive to all of the kids! The director stays on top of making sure you feel well informed and taken care of. And the inside of the establishment is clean and inviting.

Nothing but amazing… I love how my Chizi is excited to be there everyday including weekends🤣 She has had amazing teachers as well Miss Courtney, Jasmine and Najela. she is learning soo fast too. I love the energy Miss T brings to her job, I wish I could be half at my job 😁 (thanks for all the free friday lollipops) Zoey loves them. you guys thank you for being patient with our kids. It’s a huge one and we do not take these for granted.

Don’t bring your child here they kicked out my one year old son they said he kept opening his classroom door and they kept him in a chair
