I should have put a metal roof on my house sooner

They refuse to come to repair our roof and fix the mistakes they made qith our roof. They continued to answer our calls. Really.

A little over two years ago we had Garvin install a metal roof on our house. When they were here they were very professional and efficient. However, this past winter part of our snow shield was torn off by the weather and I have been trying to contact Garvin for a month now and have not received a call back from any of my messages left. This morning I attempted to send them an email which was returned as undeliverable and the result is that we have holes in our metal roof from where the screws were torn out and water is getting under it. They are wonderful in installing the roof but adhering to their warranty is a different story. We chose them because of the wonderful reviews and how efficient they were. We still have to roof our garage and were going to use them, but now I am seriously considering finding another company.

Garvin installed a metal roof with insulation over our existing roof. I was not able to be on site until after the work was complete. They communicated well and I had no complaints about the roof. It looks great. The process was painless.

Not sure I would recommend this company.

Their sales representative was very informed, prompt, and courteous. Their pricing was in line with other metal roof quotes. My roof was leaking and they did tarp it as a courtesy until the materials arrived. They inspected the chimney and set me up with a chimney contractor to do the repairs before they put the metal down.

Unfortunately after they showed up to start the work, things went awry. Due to the proximity of the neighboring houses, the work was difficult and and one of the neighbors was being difficult during the process. Half-way through the project communications stopped, the work stalled and answers were no forthcoming (all of this pre-Covid shut-downs). They tried to walk away from the job site and get payments approved while still leaving materials on my property and the one neighbor that cooperated with...

My husband and I decided to go with a metal roof after much debate, and couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Garvin Construction. From beginning to end they have been communicative and efficient. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy costumers - which is something you don't find often with contractors and home improvement companies. We took this opportunity to add 2 skylights and they even sent someone to do the interiors. I won't hesitate to refer them to my friends or use them again in the future. Steve, Gene R, and Harry made our experience go as well as it did, so big shout out to them! Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more money for quality, you won't regret it! And the 40 year transferable warranty helps me sleep great at night :) Thank you Garvin.
