Before working with Functional Nutrition Resources I had chronic gastrointestinal problems. It had me feeling tired all the time and I was experiencing horrible abdominal pain. I remember as a child dealing with these same symptoms, however, it was never as consistent as in recent months. It became a monthly issue that would last at least a week at a time. The pain would keep me up at night, so for a good week every month I was feeling miserable.

From my very first phone call with Jennette, I knew this was where I was supposed to be. At the time I began my program, I was spending on average 4 days a week in bed due to abdominal pain and vomiting for months. I was dealing with significant weight loss due to my symptoms and losing hope. I was willing to put in the work, but I needed someone to hold my hand and guide me because I was so lost and not getting enough direction from my doctors. I’m receiving the best support I could have ever asked for. I’m very early on in the program (almost a month), but I have already seen improvement in the abdominal pain and looking forward to complete healing and getting my life back.

As I begin to write this I have to look back at where I came from. I was tired all the time, tired of feeling bad, tired of not being able to bend to get in the bathtub. Tired of weighing 211 pounds. At this point I was 42 years old, I have Grave’s disease and have done radioactive iodine. I take synthetic thyroid and was on high blood pressure medicine. I have not felt this good in 30+ years. When I begin FNR program I was in bed about 20 hours each day. I am finally living my life out of bed! I am out of bed and active 5-6 days out of 7. My mental health has been the biggest reward so far. I wake up rested and want to get moving. I'm able to get to sleep and sleep through the night. I've had sleeping issues since I was an infant.Depression and anxiety is 80-90% better. My hair, skin and nails are better. My body is not as achy and tender. My joints are not throbbing night and day. I now have almost full range of usage and mobility in my hand and ankles. Suger and cravings are NOT running my life. result will keep improving. I have a new awareness for the word “mindfulness “ and how it affects all aspects of our
health.

All the team have given encouragement and hope for that everything that is “wrong” can be changed! That was so
important for me to feel that I could do it!!!

My name is Debra I was was starting to have a downward journey with my health. I was constantly waiting for flairups. Thinking there was nothing else I could do, ( my mother died of colon cancer) I thought maybe that was my direction. My skin has improved, especially the itchy bumps on the backs of my arms that had always been there and I never really thought much about. They're completely gone!
