Originally my boyfriend and I contacted Epic Dog Academy for help training our deaf dog, but after having the home consultation with Vince, which is free of charge, we ended up signing up our other dog as well. Our dogs spent 3 weeks at their facility, but the option to visit with notice was available and we were able to contact the trainers for updates whenever we wanted. We were able to practice alongside their trainer Arturo who thoroughly explained their behavior, how to correct it and most importantly how to correct our behavior when doing our own home training. They offer group classes for more practice around the trainers once your dog graduates the program as well as 3 home visits. The home visits are extremely helpful and ensure you, as the pet parent, are enforcing the same training the dogs were taught at their facility. These people saved our sanity! We have an eight year old bull terrier (if you own one you know how stubborn this breed is) who is the biggest lover girl BUT was extremely aggressive with big dogs. We love her so much but after multiple incidents we began searching for help. Epic Dog Academy had our girl for four weeks and WOW! I almost couldn’t even believe how much she had learned and her changed obedience. We were worried about just dropping her off but we were at our last resorts. They gave us many updates and kept in touch. When we picked her up she loved her trainer so much and you could tell they had built a relationship! We have a Great Dane and he is a big boy! He ruled the house and we had a very difficult time getting him to listen to anything! He has been at Epic Dog Academy for three weeks and we picked him up yesterday and you would never believe the difference! Alpha can be aggressive towards strangers and since he is so big, I was worried. By using "off" I've been able to keep him at my side without barking or running towards the mailman or our neighbor walking their dog (I would of never stood a chance before!) My 160lbs boy doesn't pull when I'm walking him, knows commands such as "sit" "place" "down" and others! I am beyond happy with the results, and now our other Great Dane is with them and can't wait to see her results! Everyone at Epic Dog Academy genuinely cares and is invested in having a positive experience and outcome with training both your dog and you. We really needed somebody that knew how to work with a very strong breed and they went over and above to be sure that we got the attention and training that we needed. Could not be anymore blessed with my complete family now. I am a Navy Veteran of 6 years. When I reached out to Epic Dog Academy Vincent and Olivia welcomed me with open arms and gave me an interview as to what services I needed from a K-9 support animal. I was then introduced to Tesla. We absolutely recommend Epic Dog Academy. They were so great with our dog Bella during her stay & training with them. Our dog was a 17 week old German Shepard and we needed help because we have a house full of kids(all girls 14, 12, 7, & 2) and her excitement was a little crazy for us to handle. When we came to pick her up from her two week training, she was excited to see us but once Arturo the dog trainer taught us what to do, she Reacted And followed the commands very well. It was so fast!!! Arturo was an excellent trainer. He taught us well and went over everything we needed to know for when we got her home. He answered all the questions we had and he didn’t have any problems going over Commands a few more times, just so we got it right!
