I have been a patient of Dr. Tosi for the past year, diagnosed with wet AMD. Recently, I have been experiencing the complication of iritis (uveitis) after my eye injections causing me to be put on steroidal drops in my eye to control the inflammation. I have a somewhat unique genetic marker for this inflammation. When symptoms first occurred, it was unclear whether the inflammation was due to the Vabysmo or the actual injection itself. There could be serious consequences of iritis going unchecked. Dr. Tosi saw me twice in his office over a weekend with a subsequent office visit, and he came up with a plan to control the iritis and still allow me to receive my injections. This was important to me because after 2 failed eye formulas, the Vabysmo was working. This will continue to be a work in progress, or in Dr. Tosi’s words, “It’s a trial and see”.
