I think this is one of the most fun and most innovative ways of learning Hebrew that you will find in Israel. Totally worth it!

Citizen's Cafe is such a great Ulpan. I've never been good at languages so I was very nervous about taking up Hebrew, but after just one class I already had the confidence to try ordering coffee at my local cafe, and after just one semester I felt like I learnt so much and was really comfortable doing a lot in Hebrew around the city. The classes themselves are also so fun, it's a great community and the teachers are so supportive. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone and everyone.

I joined Citizen Cafe because I'd learnt Hebrew in various ulpanim before, have been in Israel for 3 years and just didn't have the confidence to speak.. Ever. Happy to say that it really worked for me, I'm speaking loads of Hebrew now & people really can't believe how much I know! This was the most enjoyable learning environment ever, the educational methods are alternative & adaptive to different learning styles. The teacher introduces new fun methods all the time and finds ways to make the class more comfortable to speak, listen, read & write. I'd really recommend citizen cafe, as a side note we covered future tense which was terrifying and ridiculously confusing to me at the beginning of the term!

I am just about to finish my second semester with Citizen Cafe TLV, and am loving everything about it. The method is very effective and fun, the teachers are fantastic, so is the location, the organization, the people you get to meet... Especially for people who need to built Hebrew lessons around their work schedule, Citizen Cafe TLV is absolutely ideal.
Can't wait to keep going, as I get more and more confident in speaking and reading this incredible language. Highly recommended!

Loved this experience! The people I met were amazing and classes were relevant, fresh, dynamic and most importantly, fun. It brought a real sense of fun to language learning which is so crucial and, as the groups are intimate, you feel very comfortable in engaging in discussions and very quickly find yourself gaining more and more confidence. The nice thing is that this happens so naturally, you find yourself having a conversation in Hebrew and realize that in the right environment it can be enjoyable, non-intimidating and inspiring. Highly recommend!
