Citizen Cafe is the only ulpan that understand the needs and the environment of Generation Y and Z (compared to 4 other ulpans and private lessons). They incorporate great tools to offer dynamic and interactive sessions. The pace and the content are adapted to our Tel Avivite Life and our startup nation ecosystem!

After studying in a regular ulpan 6 years ago I wanted to continue improving my Hebrew. I got the recommendation through a friend and cannot be happier! The subjects we learn are actually applicable in everyday life. I use the things we learn at work, in conversation with friends and family and while watching TV. The fact that the classes are only 1,5 hours long also helps to stay focussed long enough after a hard day of work. Would I recommend it? Definitely! I already have to colleagues who joined me now.

After years of trying to learn Hebrew in the traditional ulpan setting, I discovered Citizen Cafe and I am so glad I did! They helped me to build confidence and to enjoy speaking Hebrew!! Citizen Cafe has been my best ulpan experience. I've done private lessons and group class there and both were geared to be relevant to my actual life. The teachers are cool and happy to go the extra mile to help and personalize your experience. They've boosted my confidence and fluency speaking, and I'm able to understand a lot more on the street and hold decent conversations in Hebrew.

A unique ulpan that got me from totally helpless to fluent and confident in Hebrew. Classes are small and feel like a private lesson with a bonus fun social aspect. Focus is on real, spoken, on-the-streets Hebrew, not useless grammar rules. Instead of those dusty grammar rules, you'll learn tidbits of Israeli culture and slang that'll help you integrate. The teachers are vibrant and fun, and they use creative tricks to help you remember words and phrases. I recommend it to anyone and everyone (including those who "aren't good with languages") to try it! Worth the money 100%!!
