Citizen Café Tel Aviv

I really enjoyed learning conversational Hebrew with my teacher and fellow students. I hope to continue my studies with you so I can practise in Israel some day soon when it’s safe to travel again!

I loved citizen Cafe because this is the best course i have ever participated. The real hebrew language with native speakers with fantastic atmosphere. The nice and experienced teaecher showed me the most important skills for begginers. I am sure that i will finishes all the steps.

I have really enjoyed lime semester at Citizen Cafe Ulpan. It is an extremely well organised and carefully thought out teaching program- better than any I have tried before and I’ve done loads of things to try to learn Hebrew! It is expensive but I think its worth it.
The teaching method is fantastic- meaning you retain a lot of information and it works very well online. I had lots of lightbulb moments where things I’d previously never understood were explained simply so I understood -removing the fear of learning more complex material.
I look forward very much to the weekly lessons especially during the covid pandemic. The teacher was charming and friendly as well as being great at teaching. The homework wasn’t too onerous and helped me corroborate and learn material.
I was very impressed that classes were recorded to rewatch after the class and there was a google...

After completing my first level at Citizen Cafe, I can say that my Hebrew is improving. Would I have wanted some things to be different, yes but there is such a mixture of people it is hard to match classes to everyone at the same level. Cudos to the teachers...they need a lot of patience for all the interruptions but need to be able to put people in place without offense. I had tons of unasked questions but sought ways to figure out things which helped me to continue learning during a break. Practice sessions were amazingly helpful. I am waiting to continue to the next level and see where it leads - hopefully to a more confident speaking individual.

The group was diverse and we were well matched in ability. The subjects we covered were varied, our teacher was very capable In keeping us well motivated. I loved the class and was sad when it ended
