Children's Lighthouse Schertz

Childrens Lighthouse is simply fantastic! I'm active duty Air Force and my 4 and 2 year old daughters love this daycare and always come home excited to talk all about their day! Their days are filled with great, structured educational activities and a ton of fun. My husband and I love being able to view the live video feed of their classrooms and the daily reports we receive with the Tadpole and Watchmegrow aps. They even offer a monthly "parents night out" with an evening of childcare so my husband and I can have a date night while the kids get to play have dinner and watch a movie. The staff is terrific! They are trust worthy, patient, caring and always friendly. Over all, I would highly recommend Childrens Lighthouse in Schertz for child care!

I appreciate the Children's Lighthouse where we have our baby girl at, she is 3 months old. We have had her enrolled for going on a month now. The reason we chose them. was for the cameras that give us access to our baby anytime we want and for the great reputation that they have built for themselves. We love to see how the teachers greet her in the morning. To see them happy to see her, makes me feel that they have a vested interest in my child. They also send us pics of her throughout the day. Which makes us feel not as bad for leaving her at daycare and going to work. Any specific instructions that I give them, they follow. I have very high expectations (ask my husband ;) ) and they have met and exceeded them. We appreciate all they do to care for our daughter throughout the day.

Would have given them 4 stars but they watch too much TV in the after school program. I don't think TV's should even be in the classrooms. I don't pay a ton of money to have TV babysit my kids. My kids were at another day care, USAA Bright Horizons, for several years and the kids didn't watch TV there except on a rare occasion. But here it's on a daily basis and its morning and afternoon. I've mentioned it to the teachers but it still happens. So today I told one of the ladies at the front and her response was well it's been like this in the year and a half I've been here so I don't see it changing. And this is one of the expensive daycares so I expected more. I will be looking to see what else is out there but I know we're very limited in the Schertz area.

UPDATE 7-10-15: Changing my 3 star rating to a 5. The owner called me within a couple hours after I left...
